MANSON FAMILY - SUSAN ATKINS BITES THE DUST

1969 - 9 murders - convicted of 8 because unborn children
didn't count under the law back then. Guilty of first-degree murder
as an aider and abettor, co-conspirator and a murderer.

2009 - September 24 - Susan Denise Atkins aka Sadie Mae Glutz aka
Susan Atkins aka Susan Whitehouse dies in Central California Women's Facility

1 life spent living behind bars and dying behind them.

A pitiful exchange for the lives of:
Gary Hinman
Steven Parent
Sharon Tate Polanski & her unborn son Paul Polanski
Jay Sebring
Wojciech Frykowski
Abigail Folger
Rosemary LaBianca
Leno LaBianca

Susan Atkins was instrumental in denying them their right to life, to a family,
to grow old an to die from natural causes surrounded by friends and family.

Terry Thornton (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation
Spokesperson) "Atkins had been placed in the prison hospital's hospice a few
days ago when death seemed "imminent." She received round the clock
pastoral care, a service provided to inmates at that hospital so they don't die
alone. "It's just an effort to bring some dignity to inmates in the last time they
have on Earth."

A shame that Atkins' victims weren't allowed "dignity" in their deaths.

1969- Atkins confesses to her crimes.
1997 - Atkins claims she didn't kill anyone.
2003- Atkins claims she is a "political prisoner"
2004 - 2009 - Atkins claims she's repudiated Manson
and embraced Christianity. Yet in her blog online
Atkins places blame on everyone and mitigates it
upon herself.

Vincent Bugliosi (Prosecutor of the Manson members) "It has to be
said that she did pay substantially, though not completely, for her incredibly
brutal crimes."

Michael Kennedy "People who do not remember that time can have no idea
how fearful we all were. A family friend lived next door to the LaBiancas.
It terrorized Los Angeles until they were caught."

Stephen Kay (Prosecutor who helped prosecute the Manson members)
"She was the scariest of the Manson girls. She was very violent."
