Why is it that criminals think they are so much smarter
than police or the rest of us?

Joanna Hayes
Hayes was just convicted of murdering her
daughter in law Heather Allen Strube in front
of Heather's baby boy, Joanna's grandson.

Joanna Hayes has a habit of obtaining weapons from
people at construction sites and of pointing them at
people, such as her then husband, usually point blank
at their forehead.

She shoots Heather Allen Strube in a Target parking
lot in front of witnesses. Yes, she was in disguise,
supposedly to make it look like a man had done the
deed.

But long before she killed Heather, she'd told a co-
worker how she would plan a "perfect murder" and
then proceeds to use elements of that same plan
months later!

She's been convicted and sentenced to a long
stretch. She'll be eligible for parole only when she's
77 years old, and even then might not obtain parole.

David Gabriel "Gabe" Watson

Watson insisted upon diving lessons for a less than
enthusiastic fiance.

He insisted upon Christina "Tina" (Thomas) Watson
"increasing her life insurance with himself as the
beneficiary. Witnesses remember these things!
Especially when one files for the insurance
immediately after the death of the insured!

He arranges a honeymoon dive in Australia, in
which Tina dies. Watson rushes topside to "get help"
which witnesses and experts say he didn't do.

Although Australia put him in prison on lesser
charges, he's now facing murder charges in Alabama.
The fact that Watson is believed to have planned the
murder in the U.S. before the actual deed is why he's
going to be tried.

Casey Anthony.
Many can't believe, and are appalled, that a mother
who professes to love their child would wait 31 days
and party hearty before reporting their young
child missing, no matter the dysfunctional family
dynamics. Report it to police, a trusted friend,
neighbor, someone!

Casey Anthony was convicted on the check charges.
Didn't she think about the surveillance videos in
the banks and stores? Or that her friend might
not be pleased and press charges once she's found
her bank account wiped out?

Abandoning (& murdering) your child is a crime and
Casey Anthony knew it! So she thought up on the fly,
a stupid SODDI (Some other dude did it) excuse.
In this case, the "Zanny nanny" did it.

Anthony's "I was searching, doing my own investigation"
explanation is beyond ludicrious. And while in jail waiting
trial she floated the "abuse" excuse, pointing her grubby
fingers vaguely at her brother and father.

Now in court, the defense has indicated that's the plot
they're going to follow, that she perhaps harmed Caylee
because of past abuse - while there are no indications
(according to George & Cindy's attorney) of allegations
of abuse in her diaries.

There are other family members, friends and other
witnesses that are quite likely going to be able to
testify that Casey Anthony wasn't abused.

A look at the video from jail in which she berates
her parents speaks volumes about the dynamics
of those relationships.

Christopher Coleman - murdered his wife and two
sons, Sheri, Gavin and Garret in their beds. This cretin
planned their murders ahead of time, sending violent
emails, painting obscene and threatening messages on
the walls as evidence, and then setting up his alibi.
To sweeten the plot, he phones his neighbor, a police
officer, in order to show off his innocence.

Between today's forensics, police investigations and
other techniques, as well as Coleman's own background
from previous employment, he should have known he'd
be caught and that the evidence pointed right back at
himself.

Now convicted & sentenced to life without any possibility
of parole - he's escaped the death penalty only because
the change in the law in Illinois in the last few months.

All of these perps, thought/think that they were/are
more intelligent than the rest of us, yet their own plans
came to nought - because they aren't.

Will there be "JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE?"

Caylee Anthony's mother, Casey Anthony is on trial for the
child's death and jury selection has finally begun.

Will there be "Justice for Caylee?"
The trial is scheduled to now begin on Monday, the
23rd of May, 2011.

SELF-CENTERED:
Casey Anthony has cried in court whenever her name is
mentioned, specifically when the Judge addresses the
potential jurors and reads out the indictment. Yet, there
are no tears for Caylee whenever her name is mentioned.

TRADEMARKING:
Caylee Anthony's grandparents, George & Cindy Anthony,
have now (3 years later) tradmarked Caylee Anthony's
name AND the phrase "Justice for Caylee" ... AND.....have
filed for an accounting of the monies made by websites who
sold "JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE" items in the past.

All about the money? You decide.

A day late and a dollar short as the old saying goes.
If they were concerned about the misuse of Caylee's
name it should have been done the year of her death,
after her remains were found.

The phrase "Justice for Caylee" has been used by those on
the Internet who wanted to show their support for Caylee,
a child they believe was murdered, since the day it was
reported she had been "missing for 31 days."

So why now are the Anthony's making it clear they "own"
the phrase?

Trademarking Caylee's name I can understand. Many
victim's families do so in order to prevent persons from
profiting from their loved one's name.

However, in this case, the only one I've seen express any
real love and anguish about Caylee's death has been George
Anthony. Although, his and Cindy, and Lee Anthony's antics
in the past have made their concern for Casey Anthony
appear of more interest to them than that of Caylee's death.

That being said, I can understand their wishing to save their
daughter from the death penalty, and at the same time wanting
to know exactly what happened to their grandchild.

But this trademarking of the phrase "Justice for Caylee" reeks
just as much as dead fish lying on a river bank, left there by
unconcerned persons who obviously aren't really interested in
fishing, or the sportsman's etiquette. (Release back what you
aren't going to eat.) Those dead fish smell awful and reek badly.

This trademarking of the phrase smells, frankly, of self serving,
grasping and greediness on their part.

"I am so ready to take this case to trial, but unfortunately
the judge continued the case because the defense attorney
got called to a federal trial. Federal cases take precedent
over state cases."

Entry
Troy Dale West, Jr.'s trial date is set for July 19th.
Clayton County Superior Court Judge Geronda V.
Carter will be presiding.

West, from Poulan, Georgia, of Troy's Paint & Body
& Auto Salvage is currently wearing an ankle
bracelet while awaiting trial. June 10, 2010, West's
attorney asked that the ankle bracelet be removed
but Judge Carter denied the motion.

BRUTAL UNPROVOKED ASSAULT

West was arrested and charged with beating Army
Reservist Tashawnea Hill in front of her 7 year
old daughter outside of a Cracker Barrel restaurant
in 2009. During the beating, West reviled Hill with
offensive, abusive language and racial obscenities.
West only stopped the beating when a Cracker
Barrell Manager came to Hill's aid.

West claims Ms. Hill spit upon him while witnesses
and the surveillance video from the restaurant
back up Ms. Hill's statement that West had almost
hurt her daughter with the door and she had politely
asked him to be careful.

Police: West became enraged when Hill told him to be
careful after he nearly hit her 7-year-old daughter while
opening the restaurant's door.

Ms. Hill "The man slung open the door pretty hard and fast
and I had to push my daughter out of the way. I turned to
the man and I just said, 'Excuse me sir, you need to watch
yourself you almost hit my daughter in the face.' And from
there it just went downhill."

Police: West threw her to the ground and hit her in the head
with his fists and feet, police said. During the exchange,
witnesses said West could be heard screaming racial slurs at
the victim.

Ms. Hill "Then he punched me in my face and I fell to the
ground and he proceeded to punch in my head and face."

Ms. Hill's daughter was crying uncontrollably and physically
shaking during/after the event. Both she and her mother
still have nightmares from the event.

GRAND JURY INDICTMENT

23 September 2009 - A grand jury indicted West
on felony charges including aggravated assault, false
imprisonment, first degree cruelty to children, battery
and disorderly conduct.

Tracey Graham Lawson (Assistant District
Attorney) "You don’t get to beat a woman down,
kick her like she’s a dog in front of her child and call
her all that stuff."

This isn't Troy Dale West Jr.'s first brush with the law
or with unprovoked violent behaviour towards others.

Gabrielle Daniels aka ThisBlksistasPage has uncovered
the following information on West:

1998, West is charged with simple battery and terroristic
threats after he attacked a cashier at a K-Mart in Tifton,
said Dennis Baker, chief administrator for the district attorney.
According to Baker, West created phony receipts showing
he had purchased Matchbox cars at other K-Marts for 59 cents.
He argued with the cashier that the price of the cars should be
lowered.

When the cashier denied the request, West got into a dispute
with him, Baker told the judge. “The defendant pushed
him [the cashier] against a telephone booth and said
he would kill him,” Baker said.

The cashier called the police and West fled, Baker said. Police
arrested West at a nearby Waffle House, where he was hiding
in the bathroom with a loaded pistol, according to Baker.
The case was later dismissed after the records could not be
located.

West faces a decade in prison if convicted.

The FBI is investigating the case as a hate crime.

BOBBI JO FINLEY - SERIAL BIGAMIST & GRIFTER POEM

in New Orleans and authorities promptly clapped the
cuffs on her. She was extradited to Alabama to face
charges there...hopefully the first of many courtrooms
she'll see the inside of for the next few years.

Bobbi Finley's victims were on ABC's 20/20 this Friday,
Sep 24th. They told what happened to them, and how
several have found out that they are fathers. Finley was
interviewed and she takes no blame or responsibility for
her crimes.

ankle.

So now with aliases galore and the Military on her tail,
Bobbi Jo Finley is still on the make, hoping for another
Serviceman's money, credit, credit cards, checks and
belongings to take!

So beware Service boys and gals!
This grifter is on the loose!

A NATIONAL TRAGEDY - CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING IN THE U.S.

Two nights ago I watched a program that was disturbing.
I'm sure it, and some of the articles linked to in this
post will be disturbing to many of you as well.

Two young girls, 14 and 15, cousins, were kidnapped off
the street and forced into prostitution... in Ohio, the United
States. The oldest girl tried to protect the younger, as much
as she was afraid, she stayed strong for her cousin, her
best friend. The 15 year old detailed the brutality, the
threats, and the way her kidnappers, a pimp and his older
prostitutes kept control of them. She spoke of how they were
forced to have sex with married men, men at truck stops,
men who didn't care that they were underage. How they
were taken across state lines into Michigan to make money
for their pimp.

Her ordeal ended when a trucker noticed there were two
under age girls at the truck stop, disgusted, he called it in
to police. However, her cousin, the 14 year old was still
in their kidnapper's custody. They had taken off with her
when the police took the 15 year old out of their control.

She told her mother, and her uncle, father of the 14 year
old, where they'd been held, just 6 miles from home, in
their own home town. The three of them went straight
to the residence and the uncle began banging on the
door and demanding his daughter. The prostitutes
threw the 14 year old girl out of a second story window.
Luckily she wasn't hurt other than some bruises.

The uncle and her mother were being beaten bloody
by the pimp and his two prostitutes. Several calls
from them, as well as from neighbors, more than 7
phone calls in all, elicited no response from police.

The dispatcher said officers were out on other calls more
important. The EMTS and a news crew were on hand
faster than the police. The same police, when the girls
had disappeared, had labeled them "runaways."

The pimp and his prostitutes were charged under Federal
laws and are serving time in prison.

But there are many more children captive within sex rings
here in the United States, as well as overseas.

How many of the children who "disappear," babies, young
girls, and young women have been captured and/or sold into
prostitution slavery? How many boys? One is too many.

The FBI estimates that well over 100,000 children and young
women are trafficked in America today. They range in age from
9 to 19, with the average age being 11.

These pervs who coerce and force the girls, and boys, give
them false names, false id's and stories to tell the police.
They drug, beat them, rape them, have them gang raped.
They threaten to harm their their families if they do not do
what they are told. They break their spirits.

When one pimp calls and says the money is good, they drive
them to whatever city it is. When the heat from police gets
too much, another will call and they'll drive to another city.

Many end up in coastal cities, traveling back and forth across
the nation at their pimp's whim. Mostly, they never know
where they are in relation to their home or location, and with
no way to get free. Many are used up until they're of no use
to a pimp, then they disappear for good, to a lonely grave.

kidnapped outside her own home, with her mother and siblings
inside.

Officer Greg Scheffer, Phoenix Police Department "So the
Internet for the pimps is a huge benefit for them, because it allows
them to make their money, do what they want to do with these
juveniles or with their prostitutes and have very little contact with
the police."

FBI Deputy Assistant Director, Chip Burrus "These predators
are going where the kids are. "What you can see, time and time again,
is that the predators will adapt their means to whatever the young
people are doing, whether it's malls, whether it's ski slopes, whether it's
beaches..."

Justice.Gov "Pimp-controlled commercial sexual exploitation of children
is linked to escort and massage services, private dancing, drinking and
photographic clubs, major sporting and recreational events, major cultural
events, conventions, and tourist destinations. About one-fifth of these
children become entangled in nationally organized crime networks and
are trafficked nationally. They are transported around the United
States by a variety of means, cars, buses, vans, trucks or planes, and
are often provided counterfeit identification to use in the event of arrest.
The average age at which girls first become victims of prostitution is
12-14. It is not only the girls on the streets that are affected -- for boys
and transgender youth, the average age of entry into prostitution is 11-13. "

Now in the news is a case of Alvin Robertson, a former "NBA
"star" who has been arrested, with 7 others, for forcing a 14 year old girl
into a sex ring. She was forced into sex with men in San Antonio
and Corpus Christie, Texas and into working at a topless bar.

Robertson was arrested in Bentonville, Arkansas. He is married
and with a daughter the same age as the girl forced into the
sex ring. He's had numerous run ins with the law as well as serving
time.

Robertson is charged with trafficking of persons under 18 for prostitution,
sexual assault of a child and sexual performance of a child, all felonies.
Police deem Robertson a "facilitator," meaning he is involved in forcing
the girl into prostitution. He is believed to also have had sex with the
juvenile.

Although the international community has agreed upon a sensible,
comprehensive three-pronged approach to combating trafficking,
often referred to as the three P's. 1. punishment of perpetrators;
2. protection of victims; and 3. prevention. In reality governments
have focused primarily on the first step and, to some extent, on the
second. In the United States, Congress has enacted strong Federal
anti-trafficking laws. Many states have followed suit. Slowly,
victim assistance programs are growing, though much more is needed.

Today, only six states have even one shelter for child victims
of sex trafficking.

BBC AMERICA "It's extremely graphic, most of it's sexual. What we see
is anything from infants all the way up and that comes across
constantly, things that just shock the conscience and the mind."

"A study from the University of Pennsylvania, shows as many as 400,000
youngsters are being sexually exploited, from working as prostitutes on
the streets to selling sex at school for cash. The findings reveal as many
boys as girls suffer from sexual exploitation."

known child and youth sex trafficking cases in the United States to date.
In one of several related cases, hundreds of Mexican girls between 7 and
18 were kidnapped or subjected to false romantic entrapment by organized
criminal sex trafficking gangs. Victims were then brought to San Diego
County, California. Over a 10 year period these girls were raped by
hundreds of men per day in more than 2 dozen home based and
agricultural camp based brothels. "

"In Mexico there exists terrible child trafficking in the area of Acapulco,
Guerrero, and that many now call this region "the new Bangkok" of child
sex tourism. Nugent also emphasized that Tijuana [on the U.S. border
with San Diego County] has also become an zone controlled by powerful
child prostitution networks."

A girl met an older boy on My-Space, and agreed to meet at a park.
She ended up in Mexico, alone and unable to get home.
The boy was believed to be linked to a National City gang. Some of these
girls leave with people we suspect to be gang members that do have ties
to organized crime in Mexico." said National City Police Detective, Antonio
Ybarra. None of several other girls believed to be in Mexico has been found.
The farther you go into the interior of Mexico, the more difficult that becomes.
said National City Police Sergeant, Mike Harlan."

Convicted Murderer Bruce Davis Approved for Parole

UPDATE: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger reverses Bruce Davis' release.
An extremely revealing letter from the Gov. details Davis' time
in prison; his minimization of his role in the torture & murders
of two men, his drug use and recent mental evaluations.

Although convicted for two murders that took place in 1969,
and sentenced to Life in Prison, Bruce Davis has been
approved for parole by two of the parole panel.

Oh, that doesn't mean he'll be free. It has to go through the
full panel of parole board members, and through Gov. Arnold
Schwarzenegger first. The Los Angeles County District
Attorney's Office may also petition for parole to be denied.
The process could take up to 5 months.

If he gets out Davis hopes to live with his wife and daughter
(conjugal visits in prison) in Grover Beach near San Luis Obispo,
where he has the possibility of a landscaping job and has been
offered work with a church.

Davis participated in two murders, he knew what was going
to happen and still to this date minimizes his role. He denies
he was Charles Manson's right hand man. Others formerly
belonging to the followers of Manson have testified in the past
that people were more afraid of Davis than of Tex Watson.
LE suspect Davis committed other murders.

IMO At the least, Davis took two lives, and should live out
his life in prison as atonement for his crimes.

Innocence Lost - Anthony Maldonado murdered

2009 -January 3 - While many of us were recuperating from
the effects of the New Year celebrations a 9 year old boy was
stabbed to death.

No, not on the streets.

Anthony Maldonado (9) was happily playing with his Christmas
gift while staying with relatives over the holiday. He was
thrilled with the play station and Tony Hawk skateboarding
game.

But evil was in the room with him.

Evil in the form of a criminal thug who uses the name
"Aaron" and a false identity of "Michael Jacob."

2005 -Alejandro Morales was convicted of
assault and served 2 years in prison;

Dozens of prior arrests and convictions for:
Larceny
Disorderly Conduct
Marijuana possession

With open cases against him of:
Menacing
Harassment
Weapons possession

Alejandro Morales was the only person in the room with young
Anthony at the time of the stabbling.

2010 - January 3 - 3:35 A.M - Anthony was playing his play
station with Morales who lived in the same building. Morales' two
brothers were also there but left to get something to eat.

Apparently an argument occurred over the game.

Soon after, Anthony knocked on his uncle's bedroom door
telling him "I've been stabbed."

Anthony was slashed on his face and stabbed several times,
he had bruises- it's believed he struggled with Morales
before being stabbed in the chest.

A 911 call is placed.
Police & Paramedics arrived.
Anthony was rushed to the hospital

4:19 A.M. - Anthony Maldonado was dead.

An autopsy showed Anthony had a perforated
left lung and carotid artery.

Anthony's family is left to mourn over a senseless death and asking
for justice.... for the death penalty.

Antonio Juela (Anthony's grandfather) "Anthony was
playing ... on PlayStation when his friend came and stabbed him.
My grandson died over a video game."

"Anthony was a loving child who loved his PlayStation."
"He got the PlayStation for Christmas and was very happy."
"He was so happy."

Cecilia Cunalata (Anthony's aunt) "Morales' brothers who
had been there that night but left, told Anthony's family..."We
hate him. We don't understand why he did this."

"She (Morales' mother) said he was "sick" (schizophrenic)."
"He doesn't like kids playing games." "She can't believe it.
She doesn't have the words to describe why he did this."

Alejandro Morales was sent to be assessed at Bellvue Hospital
for a mental evaluation.

Morales will be arraigned on murder and weapons possession charges.

Unsolved Jennings, Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana Murders

Since 2005 to the present, young women from Jennings, Louisiana
have been turning up dead.

These young women were sisters, aunts, mothers, and daughters
of those who knew and loved them. Though some had their troubles,
they were, and are, missed.

Although police are reluctant to attribute these murders to a serial
killer, someone is taking their young lives, someone who has no
right to rip them from life.

Though there have been suspects in some of the crimes, those
suspects have been released due to lack of evidence tying them
to the crime(s).

on this date hours before she was found murdered.
Laconia was the best friend of Brittney Ann Gary.

2008- September 11 - Crystal Shay Benoit Zeno (23) was found murdered on
this date.

Strength through Adversity - Fort Hood Texas - Heroism during the shooting massacre

Fort Hood has lost some of its own, to one of it's own. This tragic incident
has resulted in the death of 13 soldiers, and the wounding of 31.

A graduation ceremony was being conducted next door to the processing of
soldiers when shots rang out and medics in their caps and gowns ran towards
the direction of the shots to give aid.

Specialist Amber Moore, herself wounded, went back to pick up a comrade
and get them to safety.

A soldier in his truck outside of the facility heard the shots and ran back inside
to help. He and others aided four wounded soldiers into his truck, and once
they were secured, drove them to a nearby hospital, saving their lives.

A soldier helping the wounded was hit in the boot with a bullet. He
continued to give aid without concern for himself.

Soldiers inside the facility, while wounded, aided others soldiers who had
been shot. Other soldiers used their battlefield knowledge, experience
and training to assist and save others.

First responders accosted the shooter. Officer Kim Munley and Senior Sgt.
Mark Todd were there within 3 minutes. They encountered the shooter
outside of the building. The shooter shot Officer Munley in the legs. She
returned fire and Officer Mark Todd also fired, stopping the shooter's
bloody rampage. He kicked away the shooter's weapon and cuffed him.
Officer Todd, a former military (Army) policeman, wrapped his belt
around Munley's leg leg to stop the bleeding from one of her wounds.

The entire military community will mourn the loss of those killed, and will
support and pray for their families, and for those wounded, and their families.
Reviews will be done, investigations conducted.

But this incident will not dampen their committment to their duty, in fact, it will
do the reverse, it will strengthen that committment.

Unwarranted thuggish Racial Assault on Tashawena Hill & her daughter

UPDATE: October 28, 2009 -
Troy Dale West Jr. was released on a $320,000 bond. The
judge ordered West placed under house arrest, fitted with an ankle
monitor, to surrender his passport, have no contact with Hill, and
to stay out of Clayton County, where Hill lives.

According to the police report Troy Dale West admitted striking
Hill, but claiming that he did so "after she spit on me and accused me
of trying to hit her daughter with a door."

Too bad for West's sorry arse, there were witnesses who saw the incident
and corroborate what Hill told police.

There are those of us who appreciate the service of our servicemen/women,
and appreciate Tasha Hill's service. Tasha Hill and her daughter Shiyenn (7)
encountered Todd Dale West, the thuggish opposite type, on an outing to a
Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Shiyenn Hill "I was thinking that it was my fault and that I shouldn’t
have picked to go over there."

None of it was Shiyenn's fault. Not for choosing to eat at Cracker Barrel,
nor when the door swung hard by a patron nearly hit her.
Neither was it Tasha's fault for politely asking the patron to be careful.

Troy Dale West (47) 6'2", 250 lbs, swung the door roughly, almost
hitting little Shiyenn. When Tasha Hill politely asked him to be more
careful, she was not only verbally assaulted and cursed with racial slurs,
she was physically assaulted. Little Shiyenn Hill was forced to witness
the assault upon her mother and hear the denigrating racial slurs.

A Cracker Barrel employee " Troy Dale West responded “I don’t
give a f***you black n***** b**** and then started punching her." "I saw
the foot motion of him kicking her. As he was punching her, he called her
a black n***** b**** twice."

Ginger Ellis (who has grandchildren) was a witness. One moment she is
smiling at a 7-year-old girl skipping alongside her mother and seconds
later she witnesses a horrific attack upon them.

used the N word and the way he kept kicking her and he kept hitting her.
You could see the evilness on his face.”

It’s clearly a shocking incident to where a man that’s twice the size of
this female beats her down in front of the child.

That surveillance tape is in the hands of the FBI, who are investigating
whether the beating is in fact a hate crime. This is because Georgia at
present does not have a hate crimes law. State lawmakers, however, are
expected to remedy that lack.

hearing to support her and Shiyenn, and continue that support.

Kudos to Cracker Barrel's corporate leaders who have banned Troy Dale West
from ALL of their restaurants, for life.

SCAMMERS TARGETING MILITARY FAMILIES

Scammers who go after the elderly, the vulnerable, and in particular
military families who have a loved one serving in a volatile area of
the world are among the most despicable of human beings.

An elderly grandmother from Maine received a phone call purportedly
from her grandson who's serving in Afghanistan requesting money....
only she trusted her gut instincts. She knew it wasn't her grandson.

At that point the scammer became viciously ugly in threatening the
life of her grandson if she didn't cough up the amount of money he
wanted.

Grandma played it smart and took notes on the evil scam artist and
promptly notified Police and the Pentagon. Then she notified the media.

it's happening so if they get a phone call, they'll hang up."

Lynette Alice Fromme aka Squeaky released

It's official, Lynette Alice Fromme aka Squeaky has been sprung
on parole from the Texas prison where she was incarcerated
for a lo-o-ong time. 34 years in fact.

Although free physically from prison bars, Fromme will continue
to be supervised by the U.S. Parole Commission. Tom Hutchinson,
U.S.Parole Commission Spokesman "Her parole could last the rest
of her life. There are lots of guidelines she must follow, but generally
speaking, she has to be a responsible citizen.”

"Squeaky" was Manson's right hand when he was away, and after
being arrested for attempted assassination of the then President Ford,
Lynette Fromme attacked another inmate with a claw hammer.
That incident occurred inside a Federal prison.

Most inmates learn to play along, to mouth the proper platitudes to
persuade their keepers they're rehabilitated. Fromme learned at
Manson's side how to manipulate but there's also her own natural
capability in that arena as well. Though she'snow 60, she's by no
means harmless and never has been. It's my opinion, and others
agree, that she'll say what everyone in officialdom wants to hear
and one day erupt and we'll hear about her in the news once again.

Michael Dippolito's lucky day

Ah, the joys of love! Especially when newly wed. Oh, except of course, in the
case of Michael Dippolito and his bride of a mere six months, Dalia.

While waiting for the ink to dry on his divorce last fall, Michael Dippolito
frequented a local Starbucks where he is promptly latched onto by one
Dalia Mohammed.

After four months together Dalia begins working for Beachfront Realty.
(January 2009) Dalia "advises" and urges him to buy property.
He duly purchases for himself a pricy townhome. Who's the realtor?
Why, none other than Dalia herself.

The townhome sale to Michael Dippolito is her one and only sale with the
company. (Per Ed Roberts the founder of Beachfront Realty.)

The ink dries on his divorce and Michael and Dalia waltz down the aisle.
(February 2009). The next six months is filled with tirades about
money by the money obsessed second Mrs. In fact, there are loud
fights. Seems Michael gave Dalia money for bills, money that did not go
towards the bills and disappeared. Even so, he puts Dalia onto the deed
for his townhouse.

But that wasn't enough for the newly wed Dalia. She repeatedly
urges Michael to put the deed solely into her name to "protect his assets."
Meanwhile, Michael Dippolito experiences death threats and drugs being
put into his vehicle. He reports these events to police.

When he finally puts pen to paper on July 31, 2009, and puts the townhome
solely into Dalia Dippolito's name, Dalia tells a "close" friend (reportedly, &
allegedly), a man she was "seeing" during the short marriage) that she wants
to hire someone to kill her husband Michael.

Attorney Sam Caliendo "We have no way of knowing [the extent of their
relationship]. We know she was seeing him, otherwise she wouldn't have
confided.Obviously, he was close enough that she provided that particular
detail to him. As to whether the informant was a lover... That's what we
suspect. That's where our suspicions lie. This all evolved as of [last] Friday."

Alarmed and convinced Dalia will carry out her plot, the "friend" wants no
part of her scheme and notifies authorities. Said authorities take the report
seriously and set up a sting. An undercover police officer poses as a hitman
and meets with Dalia Dippolito twice. (Their conversations are recorded
via audio and video.)

The want to be widow plops down $1,200 for the "hit man" to purchase a
handgun; provides him photos of her husband, their home; his schedule,
and discusses setting up an alibi for herself. Dalia takes it a step further and
tells the "hitman" that she would deny any involvement and even go so far
as to provide police with false information and names to divert suspicion
from the grieving widow.

"She asked if this was a "solid deal" and that she didn't want to hear any
excuses later about why it didn't happen."

August 3, 2009 was the second meeting between the two. The officer
again gave Dalia the opportunity to put the brakes on her plot. But Dalia
wasn't backing down from murder.

"Are you sure you want him killed?" Dalia Dippolito laughs "I will be very happy."
After agreeing to pay $3,000 dollars when the job is done, she's asked once more
"Are you sure about having your husband killed?" "I'm not going to change my
mind. I am 5,000 percent sure I want it done. When I set my mind to something,
I get it done."

This past Wed. August 5, 2009, Dalia Dippolito went off to the gym and Police
knocked on Michael Dippolito's door. "They said, 'Come with me immediately.
Your wife's trying to have you killed."

Police stage a crime scene and contact Dalia. So of course, upon her arrival
she sees multiple police vehicles, crime scene tape and CSI van.
Sgt. Frank Ranzie "I watched her closely as I told her there had been a
disturbance in her house and that shots had been fired. Her eyes were
glued to mine. I asked if her husband was Michael? She nodded. And
that's when I said, "I'm sorry to tell you your husband's been killed."
Before I finished saying the word "killed," she launched into hysterics.
I was looking very closely at her face, and at her eyes, and they were
completely dry. And she blinked feverishly. Not a single tear came out
of her eyes." Dalia Dippolito kept insisting on seeing her husband's body.

After being taken down to the police station Dalia was
interviewed and told that the cops are wise to her murder plot.
They introduce her to the undercover officer, arrest and cuff her.

As they lead her towards the door, she sees Michael Dippolito...alive.
"Oh my God! Come here! Come here!"

Michael Dippolito gave her the hard stare "You can't fix this one."

Dalia Dippolito isn't having a very good week. She's been arrested, a judge
limits her movements, she has to wear an unsightly leg bracelet, have
random drug tests and reside with her mother.

Michael Dippolito filed a lawsuit asking the court to remove her name
from the deed and place it solely into his name. He's filed for divorce so
instead of being a widow, she'll be a divorcee. If she's convicted, she'll
serve considerable time.

Kudos to the person who notified police. That person likely saved
Michael Dippolito's life.

UPDATE: May 2011 - Dalia Dippolito's trial was held, the jury convicted.

Love & Trial is in the Air

Lisa M. Nowak's target of her bizarre plot, Colleen Shipman,
is now engaged to Bill Oefelein. Bill & Colleen, living in Alaska,
have decided to tie the knot and although a wedding date hasn't
yet been established, wedding bells will be ringing.

For Lisa Nowak however, a judge's gavel will be banging loud
in a courtroom.

Preliminary trial is set for November 10, 2009 and a trial
date of December 7, 2009 on charges of attempted kidnapping
burglary and battery with assault against Colleen Shipman.

The whole mess in Nowak's head about her "role" in
the "love triangle" was just that, a mess, and her actions landed
her into a legal mess.

The lovebirds will be facing a life together, while Nowak will be facing
time in jail.

CAYLEE ANTHONY - What's missing from the document releases?

There's been a plethora of documents released under the Florida
Sunshine Law to date, which many are perusing in search of (and in
hopes of) finding the evidence the Prosecution has that they feel
will convict Casey Anthony.

Wendy Murphy, (author, former child abuse and sex crimes prosecutor,
teacher, lecturer) hones in on some key points gleaned from what has,
and hasn't been released.

The documents released have interviews with several of Casey Anthony's
(former) friends. Yet police have stated they wouldn't discuss other "leads"
pertaining to others who might have knowledge, or be involved in the child's
disappearance and murder.

Wendy Murphy "Maybe those leads went nowhere. But shielding the
names of potential witnesses so early in an investigation, at a time when
the identities of so many people associated with Casey were readily
available to the press, raises interesting questions.

What reason did police have for keeping certain leads secret? Why have
those names still not been revealed after nearly a year?

If the leads went nowhere, there's no reason for continued secrecy. And
if the names are being withheld under one of the exceptions of the
"Sunshine Law," can we infer that Casey did not act alone? At the very
least, can we assume that unidentified others know important information
about how and why Caylee died?

From the Autopsy Report, it's clear that little Caylee Anthony was discarded
like thrown out trash soon after her demise. The roots and tendrils growing
through her remains shows the assertions by the defense (and family) that
SODDI (some other dude did it)" placed the remains in that location after
Casey Anthony was arrested as untrue.

With several layers of duct tape across her mouth, face and into her hair,
one can be forgiven for assuming the worst, that Caylee was either being
silenced, or drugged and silenced before her death. That the child suffered.

That animals and rodents and insects had the opportunity to eat the flesh
and gnaw on the bones and scatter them; that insects made nests in her hair,
shows the callousness of Caylee's killer, who obviously cared nothing for the
fact that this would happen to the precious child's body.

Drug reports released state that certain chemical compounds were not found.
Yet.....

Wendy Murphy "It was reported recently that drug tests on hair from
Caylee's remains produced negative results. FBI scientists conducted tests
to determine whether benzodiazepines were present and the results indicate
that either nothing was found or the traces were so small, they were not
detectable.

Why was law enforcement looking for benzodiazepines in the first
place?

Wendy Murphy explains that benzos inhibit memory and render children
cooperative without knocking them out, thus they are popular with those
involved in child porn and with sex offenders. Apparently bones and bone
marrow can can be tested to ascertain if a person had benzos in their body
at the time of death, and, that the tests can be conducted years after a
person is deceased and decomposed.

Wendy Murphy "Benzos are less stable in hair, especially hair that has
been affected by water. So even when drugs appear in bones, it would
not be unusual to receive a negative result on drug tests in hair that has
been submerged in water.

Given that the public has been allowed access to the negative test results
on hair found with Caylee's remains, what inference can we draw from
the fact that we've been denied access to other drug-related information?

More importantly, why does the lab report on the negative result indicate
that tests were conducted after a "conversation" between the medical
examiner in Florida and the FBI lab in Virginia that did the actual testing?

I can tell you that when a forensic pathologist investigating cause and
manner of death asks an outside lab to conduct specific drug tests, it is
because the initial autopsy and related investigation materials produced
reason to believe drugs would be found.

A search warrant in the case authorized police to seize sedatives from
the Anthony home and that a judge cannot issue such a warrant without
cause to believe such drugs are related to Caylee's death. In other words,
the concern about benzodiapepines being associated with Caylee's death
did not come from nowhere."

It's been well documented that police seized as evidence computer and cell
phone records not only from Casey Anthony, but from the Anthony home.

Wendy Murphy points out that although the cell phone activity was
released to the public, the computer activity was not. Add to that, Casey
became delete delirious just after Caylee "went missing."

So what are in those searches of the computer? Just what evidence did
law enforcement find?

It's a no brainer. The Prosecution is keeping evidence under wraps
(allowed by the Sunshine Law" that could affect a fair trial for the
defendant.

Just because we, the public, want to see what that evidence is makes no
difference. And rightly so. The defendant is entitled to a fair trial, and
evidence that will either convict or exonerate the defendant should be
presented in court.

Wendy Murphy "Many more aspects of this case should be analyzed
based on what isn't being reported and it bears repeating the obvious
that if the most damning evidence against Casey is being withheld, the
case may well be rock solid."

That being said, it doesn't preclude us from speculating about what's
missing in the document dumps, or what evidence exists that put the
DP back onto the case.

This case has touched many because the plight of Caylee Anthony highlights
the fact that children are killed by their parents, are thrown away, everyday.

The perpetrators in every child case should face justice. The children deserve
justice.

NIKITA LEE WEIS & SOPHIA ALSEPT -VIXEN IN BOOB JOB MURDER PLOT ARE SENTENCED

2009 - June 1 - Sophia Alsept, co-conspirator of boyfriend Nikita Lee Weis,
was sentenced to 2 years in prison under a plea agreement.

Nikita Weis got 12.

Although Alsept (and her attorney) presented her as a "domestic violence
victim of both physical and mental abuse," claiming she'd been "conditioned
to do whatever Nikita Lee Weis wanted."

The Judge wasn't buying it.

Alsept cried tears and stated in court "I'm very sorry for Mrs. Weis ... This
has been very disturbing to me."

Well go-o-o-lly!

It was certainly more disturbing to Hyun Weis when she found herself confronted
by a person dressed in all black who began hitting her on her head with a miniature
baseball bat trying to kill her.

It had to have been even more disturbing to find out that her son, Nikita Lee Weis,
who she'd bonded out just 12 days before was behind the plot to murder her, along
with his girlfriend!

All for a boob job for Alsept and cash to pay their rent.... at Hyun's expense -
primarily the expense of her very life!

Alsept will have plenty of time in prison to cry a river of tears.... whether that's
for getting caught, or for the loss of the chance to have bigger boobs, remains
to be seen.

DAVID GABRIEL "GABE" WATSON PLEADS GUILTY

UPDATE: David Gabriel "Gabe" Watson will serve "just 1 (one) year
of a 4 1/2 year sentence, for manslaughter." The prosecution
suspended all but the one year.

One year for a man who modified his story of the incident 16 times!

BRAD FLYNN: With the interviews that I've done and the interviews
that the Queensland police have done, approximately 16.
INTERVIEWER: Sixteen different versions?
BRAD FLYNN: With subtle variances.

"WATSON: "she was looking up had both her arms out you know reached,
stretched up almost like looking at me reaching her arms up to grab.. as she
went down, it you know, almost like that whatever that statue is over in
Europe you know the both hands up, heads looking up that’s why you
know you know that's why you know it worried me that she was wondering
why I was leaving because we, I made eye contact with her you know I don't
know if you know if she was even still with us at that point but I you know
I saw her eye balls you know, I saw her eyes as she was going down."

Witness Dr. Stanley Stutz "Tina was struggling and fearful, on her back,
arms out to the side. Then, a male diver embraces her, he is on top of her,
his arms underneath her armpits. I thought he was trying to rescue her, I saw
him let go and Tina sank and the male diver goes to the surface."

"I tried to get someone else's attention and then saw the instructor make a
bee-line for Tina. The instructor brought her to the surface, her eyes fixed
open, vomit coming out of her mouth. I felt at that point, she was dead."

CHRISTINA "TINA" WATSON - CASE BACKGROUND

SCUBABOARD - Discusses the issues of the fatal dive from the perspective
of experienced scuba divers.

The Australian Coroner's office had issued a charge of murder against Gabe
Watson and at first, Watson had intended to kick, scream, and fight any
extradition requests.

It seems someone with a saner head prevailed upon him to do the right
thing and present himself for trial in Australia. He voluntarily flew back
to Australia and turned himself in.

During the inital court hearings Watson pled "Not Guilty" and the case was
headed for trial on the murder charge.

Since then however, things have changed. A manslaughter plea was accepted
by the Prosecution. The plea was accepted on the basis that "Watson had failed
in his duty as her dive buddy by not giving her emergency oxygen."

Prosecutor Brendan Campbell "Watson allowed Tina to sink to the ocean floor
without making any serious attempt to retrieve her, and that he
did not inflate her buoyancy vest or remove weights from her belt."

"He virtually extinguished any chance of her survival."

So, since Watson pled guilty to manslaughter, there will be no trial. He'll
be sentenced by the court under whatever guidelines Australia has.

UPDATES - November 2010 - Watson will be released from custody
in Australia.

However, since the Alambama Attorney General has given assurances to
the Australian authorities that Watson will not face the death penalty, the
authorities there are cooperating with the Alabama authorities pursuant
to their investigation.

The scales have dropped from mine eyes.

There's a lot of discussion going on among many followers of true crime this week
after the discovery that a moderator at Websleuths is a convicted sexual abuser.

This discovery wasn't announced by WS moderators, or the owner/administrator
of Websleuths, Tricia Griffith, but by another blog owner, "Princess" from Beaconhell.

Although Tricia Griffith claims to have banned "Windchime" aka "BreezySeas45" aka
Terry Stipp and removed as a moderator, many do not believed that she was ip banned
and is still allowed to be posting as a member under another nic due to her friendship
with Griffith.

Once the news broke, the flurry of questions angry members had grew in number.
Especially as discussion of Windchime was forbidden, although not to Windchime's sister,
Judy Sholes aka "Pixie_Dust," who was allowed to post a rebuttal message, which
essentially called the children in the case liars.

Griffith's feeble attempts to placate members only served to inflame those concerned
even more. In fact, her attempts to claim the revealing of the information was only
done to "take down or hurt Websleuths" are meant to deflect attention away from
the subject.

Griffiths is no stranger to controversy. At her Forums for Justice site, she has been
actively involved in the JonBenet Ramsey case, going so far as to insert herself into
the active case. Griffith set up a petition on behalf of herself and the 350 members
(at the time) and presented the petition to the Governor of Colorado.

Claiming ties to the Whites, Griffiths also has not allowed specific discussion about
certain parties in the case, mostly pertaining to the man who was with John Ramsey
when he discovered JonBenet. Yet in any other case, those close to the family are
usually treated to the most rigorous digging up of personal information and plastered
all over the forum for all and sundry to see.

In the Websleuths forum posters who claim to be related to, or are close to
a specific case, ie..the Haleigh Cummings case, are usually treated with high suspicion
until Griffith can "validate" the person as being who they claim to be. Yet of late, some
believe that if a person claiming such status is touting the line Griffith takes against
a family of a victim, then they are allowed to post unvalidated garbage.

In the Caylee Anthony case, Griffith arranged for Websleuth t-shirts to be available
first for purchase by those members from Websleuths who were to engage in an active
search for Caylee.

Methinks her quest for further publicity for herself is in direct contradiction to what
Websleuths original mission was. But of couse, it seems that mission has changed
under her tenure. It's all about her.

Legion of the Websleuths Banned

I'm going to detour from my usual type of entry to speak about
the Legion of the Websleuths banned.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the true crime forum
Websleuths, the "legion of the banned "are those persons who
were longtime members of that forum. Among them are a former
owner of WS, former moderators of long standing, and many
others who read or posted there.

The majority had well known nics and are a lot of fun and
insightful persons who made reading and participating at WS
interesting and enjoyable.

But then the tone changed.

I really don't know when it started, how it started, but I
was like everyone else who read the crappy diatribe against
a long list of members who were abruptly banned.

It appeared to many that it was the beginning of a systematic
and methodical purge of longtime members, especially those
who knew too much about the new owner.

Accusations of trying to sabotage and ruin the forum (among
other rumors) were lodged against them by Tricia, the owner
of Ws. But without any outward proof. Everyone was expected
to "take Tricia, (the owner's) word" for it. Many did.

But others had questions and asked them. They too were banned.
Simply for asking a question.

The once respected crime forum morphed into a police state.
Members were told that you can't be a member of a specific forum,
JusticeQuest,(where many of the banned had gathered) and of WS at
the same time. To be a member of one, you had to give up the other,
or be banned. In fact, it seemed that if the WS owner even thought
you were a member at the opposite site, or were reading there,
your nic would be gone.

In private messages (that aren't so private) you aren't to discuss
the situation or ask each other questions about those who'd been
banned, or about "the other website." To do so meant censure and/or
banning. Big Brother "Tricia" was reading right along with you.

So much for truth and justice at a website that bills itself as a
forum for truth, and justice. The one that says it respects its
members.

There were members who quietly, or publicly, announced their
withdrawal from WS in support or out of personal dislike for being
told what they can do or not, and began posting at JusticeQuest.

Others, like myself, read at both places and some, were or are, member
sat both sites, and have friends at both. Freedom of choice is alive
and well, and exercised.

Don't get me wrong, there are still many great persons posting
at WS. There are still some mods and other posters whom I still
have respect for. Insightful information and opinions are posted
there. And yes, the owner has the right to kick out whom they wish.

But that tone I mentioned, was growing.

On one particular forum area,the tone was downright nasty. Emotions
run high in cases where children are involved, and this case was and
is, no different. The Caylee Anthony case. Yet this was beyond high
emotions between posters who usually would agree to disagree and move
on.

There were certain persons who ran amok and gave the appearance of
being allowed to act with impunity, and that turned many new members
away from participating. There are those types, certain persons, who
began to insert themselves into the ongoing, active investigation.
They began digging up anything they could use as "dirt" to try and
denigrate people involved in the case, or even to get them arrested.
(Reminiscent of the Scott Peterson case)

This went way beyond WS's former mission of shining truth and light
onto a case by sleuthers dicussing a case.

If they say or believe their accusations, then they must be
true. After all,they're "sleuther experts" who know more than
the police investigators, FBI, and other forensic experts put together.

What they perceived that they saw on tv news casts had
to be the truth. The owner fed at the trough and spun a veneer
of "sleuthing" over the dirt diggers and anyone who thought to question
or complain were timed out or booted out pronto. The owner of WS didn't
appear to put the brakes on the run amok types until after their
accusations were investigated and found to be false.

Then miraculously the warnings went out, the nics were poofed, the spit
shine was applied and the spin of glossy veneer was in place and
polished over WS. Those nics went bye bye and well rehearsed excuses
pasted in place.

The whole incident left a nasty taste for those who witnessed the whole
"piggy" mess.

Then there are the ads. Ads on a forum or blog or other website are the
perogative of the owner. But most owners will take into consideration
that for many of their members who are on dialup, those persons will
have trouble accessing their site, and will act accordingly. Most will
put up a minimum of ads in order not to annoy their readers. WS is now
a veritable kiosk of items to buy.

You can be poofed at WS faster than a member on dial up can get past
the ads.

Oh, and I'm now one of the poofed! After having difficulties staying
logged in at WS for months,(After the new upgrade to their server,
many aol users have had that difficulty at WS) it was too much trouble
to try and stay logged in.

But with time on my hands the other night, I decided to see if IE would
log me in and keep me there for more than one page load. I figured if
I could log in that would keep my nic from being labeled inactive.

Things were routine, I was logged in. And then....

Wow! I'm now one of the legion of the banned! Tricia has banned my nic!

My crime? "Violating the TOS in having more *then one nic."
*(Their spelling not mine)

LMAO! Tricia, since 2003 when I joined WS, I've had one and only one
nic. There was mollymalone and no other.

So Websleuthers, even if you've done nothing to irritate or otherwise
say something not acceptable to the owner, you too can be joining the
legion of the banned.

A few less members..... ahhhhh.. but although your nic says banned,
you're counted as part of the huge number of current members.
Some of the former members claim that their nics were being used
AFTER they were booted.

A friend of mine, also a member there, as an exercise in well meant
futility, asked Tricia why I'd been banned. Tricia asked her to "give
her a day and she'd be happy to check into it." Tick tock, tick tock...
the friend has yet to receive a reply.

So Tricia, Sayonara. You've made yet another silly mistake in your ban
happy paranoid way, and from past treatment you've meted out to those
you've banned wrongly, I can expect no less.

That's okay though, because there are plenty of other True Crime Forums
on the web, without a fidgeting paranoid, publicity seeking owner with
ban happy fingers.

And those who wish to read here, or there, or anywhere, are more than
welcome to do so.

I fully expect my site(s) to be on your blacklist. PFFFT.

CAYLEE ANTHONY CASE - NEW DOCUMENT RELEASE - FEB 18, 2009

It looks like we'll all be getting another insight into the
Caylee Anthony investigation.

Casey Anthony's Defense was handed 1,100 pages of evidence
this week (Monday, Feb. 16, 2009). Coincidentally, Jose
Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney went to the hospital with
what his spokeswoman termed "a stomach ache." Tummy upset
aside, Baez is expected to have no problems continuing to
work on the case.

Could it be something in the documents upset his equilibrium?
Word is the defense team hasn't been visiting Casey Anthony
at the jail as often.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009) there reportedly will be
another release of 500 pages of documents to the public under
the Fla. Sunshine law.

Among the documents are reports from the crime scene where Caylee's
remains were found; lists of all property taken from the Anthony home;
and FBI reports on the evidence.

The evidence released to the Defense team is supposed to contain:
Transcripts of statements witnesses gave to investigators.
More computer evidence - which is expected to be released to the
public at some point.

WESH TV "According to a source close to the investigation, test results
from the FBI crime lab on the duct tape found on slain toddler Caylee
Anthony's skull are in that new batch of evidence.

When asked by WESH 2's Bob Kealing if Casey Anthony’s fingerprints
were on the duct tape, a source with direct knowledge of the
investigation said, "This is not going to be good news for the defense."

fingerprints on the duct tape that was stretched across Caylee's
mouth by the killer. There is no answer to that question at this point."

CAYLEE ANTHONY LAID TO REST AT LAST

It's official. Caylee Marie Anthony's earthly remains have been cremated
and a death certificate placed on file. Though her remains have been
reduced to ashes, her memory will never fade for those who knew and
loved her. Nor for those who came to know her only through her death.

The manner of her burial has been answered, but the means and
manner of her death have not, and will continue to be hotly
contested in the runup to a trial.

Caylee's memorial service was held on February 10, 2009, without
incident. Perhaps the pre-publicity regarding security persuaded any
potential protestors from carrying through their misguided plans to
garner a few moments in front of tv cameras.

Although posters on message boards are decrying the Anthony's
decision to speak of Casey Anthony during the memorial service
for Caylee, the fact remains that this was their venue, their
decision, and choice of words.

Personally I thought it struck an odd note and perhaps a somewhat
inappropriate one, given that Casey is accused of killing and disposing
of Caylee as if she was trash. However, I am not standing in their shoes
facing the horrendous loss of a precious grandchild, nor the horrible
realization that their daughter is likely to have been responsible for
Caylee's death.

Tomorrow is the day - a public memorial service for little Caylee Anthony
will be held. Televised, audiotaped, photographed and regurgitated for
public consumption. The private burial service hasn't been scheduled,
or if it has been, that information hasn't been released.

Yet even as those who knew, or came to know Caylee Marie Anthony
have a public venue in which to acknowledge her life and grieve for her,
the controversies and issues surrounding Casey Anthony's arrest and
impending trial flourish.

In all the hoopla the defense has generated around Casey Anthony, the
more this child, her life, and her death become less central to the issues.

Thankfully public interest and concern has kept the media active in
seeing that Caylee's face in photos and videos reminds everyone what
this case really is all about, and hopefully will do so until a trial is
concluded.

DARLENE (DOSKOCIL) GENTRY - MURDERESS

Darlene (Doskocil) Gentry, Age 34, is currently incarcerated at the Murray Correctional

Facility for Women at Gatesville, Texas for the murder of Waymon Keith Gentry, age 31.

Gentry was sentenced to 60 years. According to sentencing guidelines she has to serve

half (30 years) of the sentence before being eligible for parole. If released in 2037 she'll

be 62 years old.

Parole Eligibility: February 4, 2037
Projected Release Date: Feb. 5, 2067.

No one knows how long she'd planned it.
What they do know is that she did it.

2005 - November 8 - Darlene Gentry had been out that evening.
She'd lied to her mother-in- law (yet again) in order to get her to babysit.

2005 - November 9 - The next morning Darlene opens the gun
cabinet, takes out a .22 caliber gun, and with their three sons asleep in
the house, walks into the bedroom and coldly, deliberately shoots Keith in
the back of his head. She wakes the children and then calls 911. (Audio)

She calmly provides information about the open door, the guns, and then
as an afterthought tells the operator that her husband is bleeding.

When Police arrive, they examine several guns lying on the lawn, discarded
as if by a burglar, and officers feel it is a staged scene. EMT's find Keith

unconscious but breathing raspily and they quickly ascertain that he's been
shot in the back of his head.

As the sirens converge on the house, Keith's parents, family, friends and
neighbors gather in disbelief.

Investigators question Darlene while Keith is rushed to the hospital.
Not once does she ask to check on her husband's condition, or ask them
to do it. She isn't tearful and remains calm.

Some put that down to her nurse's training, but others attribute it to a
cold and malignant heart. Police swab her hands and gunshot residue is
found.

Being a registered nurse, it is surprising to all that when Darlene called
911 she hadn't assessed how severely Keith was wounded, didn't render any
aid to stop the bleeding, or to immediately inform the operator that an
ambulance was required. According to police, she seemed to have deliberately

provided "too much information."

The doctors work desperately to save Keith's life. Darlene however, is out
in the hallway asking her girlfriend Amy to lie for her. She'd told her
mother-in-law that she had needed to get out of the house and was joining
Amy in Temple at a Fuddrucker's restaurant, so that her mother in law would
babysit for her. Amy had been in Temple, but Darlene hadn't been with her.

Waymon Keith Gentry is taken off life support, and a few hours later, he is
dead. His family, children, friends, co-workers and neighbors are devastated.
But not Darlene.

Crime lab investigators with metal detectors and dogs scour the scene for
evidence. In the kitchen trash can investigators find a pair of latex
gloves and a .22 shell casing. Forensics will find that the gloves, with
blood on them, contain Darlene's DNA. Darlene's print is on one gun but
the others out on the lawn are clean. There isn't a broken lock or glass
on the doors or windows.

Keith's parents live next door and they immediately take Darlene and the
children into their home. They fully support Darlene and don't believe
she killed their son. But they soon begin to see that they may have been
mistaken in that belief.

CPS arrives, not to take the children, but merely to speak with Darlene.
The Gentry family is treated to a side of Darlene they hadn't known
existed. Darlene blows a gasket. Not only does she curse, flail her arms
around and stomp her feet, but she throws CPS out the door.

Investigators are analyzing and probing both the evidence, and Keith and
Darlene's backgrounds. As the level of mistrust grows, Darlene leaves the
children with their grandparents and moves in with one of Keith's sisters
two houses away.

What Investigators find out is that Keith Gentry was a homebody, preferring
to spend time with the children. He'd even quit a lucrative job that kept
him away from home in exchange for a lower paying job that he hated, but
would allow him to stay at home more. He was concerend about his wife's
neglect of the children, pawning them off on his parents all the time.

Darlene had given up a higher paying job in the big city to come back to
the small town and get married to Keith. During the 6 1/2 years of their
marriage she had seemed to be happy, but after awhile she began going out
more and her mother in law shouldered a disproportionate share of raising
their children. That's when Keith had switched jobs. He'd also told his parents

"I'll never leave Darlene. She'll have to leave me."

Keith Gentry was also insured to the tune of $500,000.

Collins “She was never happy. She didn’t want to be at home with the
family. My brother wanted to settle down and stay at home with the family.
She just didn’t.” Instead, she’d go out. He wanted to be there to bathe
the kids and put the kids to bed. He was like the perfect little dad. They
wrestled. They played ball. They were happy.”

Despite LE's efforts to investigate other avenues or possible suspects,
the evidence in the case was damning and pointed directly to one person,
Darlene Gentry. She realizes she's under suspicion for his death, and
doesn't apply for the insurance.

Darlene contacted Robert Pavelka. He'd heard about Keith's death and was
surprised Darlene was contacting him. He was even more surprised when she
asked him to bulldoze her house. After telling her that bulldozing such a
new house wasn't a good idea, he suggests that she think about moving, and
that he has some land she could look at. One property she looked over had
a pond. At first she claims that Keith had always wanted a property with a
pond to take the boys fishing and the pond would be perfect. Darlene goes
back out to the property with her mother to look it over again.

A week later Darlene wants him to fill the pond in. Pavelka's suspicions are
aroused and he decides to call a friend, a sheriff's investigator and voice
his concerns.

2006 - January 4 - That's where the Texas Rangers come into
the investigation. After divers retrieve the gun, given to Keith 9 years
before by his father Waymon Gentry, a sting is set up. Pavelka calls Darlene
and tells her that the pond has to be drained before it can be filled in.

A camera has been set up by the pond. It's pointed directly at the site where
the gun has been recovered. Darlene takes the bait. Dressed in jeans and a
sweater, and with high waders she walks into the pond and begins probing the
bottom. She glances cautiously at nearby construction workers and continues
probing. Darlene doesn't find what she's looking for.

Two months after the shooting investigators drive over to the hospital where
she works and arrest Darlene Gentry.

The trial was concluded with a guilty verdict. (photos) In the punishment phase,

a co-worker of Darlene's from the hospital, along with four of her family members

asked the court to give Darlene "probation" for the sake of her three young sons.

Can you imagine? Darlene Gentry took their sons' father away from them by murder
and they think she deserved probation for it.

CASEY ANTHONY'S ATTORNEY FILES MOTION TO KEEP HER OUT OF COURTROOM

UPDATE: Late breaking news. Baez filed another motion late this afternoon
Jan. 27, 2009) He is asking that the Prosecutors be booted off the trial.
Failing that, he wants them on the stand to answer some questions.

Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, has filed another motion today in court.
Apparently Casey Anthony, or Baez object to Casey being made to attend
pretrial discovery hearings.

Seems Casey, or Baez, (or both) also object to news media commenting upon
her physical appearance when she's made to be in court. Baez believes those
reports generate "unsubstantiated" rumors about her physical condition.

Baez attached the text of an Orlando Sentinel article, which he uses to claim that
the media reports "erode her due process rights, her right to a fair trial, and her
ability to seat a fair and impartial jury in the future" by making her be present at
all the court hearings.

Based on her appearance??

Say what you will, but commenting upon a pig's appearance or apparel
doesn't change the fact that the pig is a pig.

Which comment in the article sent them around the bend?

Was it that the article commented upon the fact that Casey Anthony "sported a
dark blue jail issued jump suit?" The "jail issued flip flops?" Or was it that "her
wrists were shackled as were her ankles?

Or did it have nothing to do with the media article at all?

Comments about Casey Anthony's "physical appearance" were made in certain
true crime forums following the case. Some had speculated that she was "pregnant"
and hoped it wasn't true. A majority agreed that she'd merely gained some weight
from consuming junk food (from the jail commissary that she's entitled to purchase)
and sitting on her ass.

So is Baez using the Orlando Sentinel as a scapegoat for what's really being said on
the web? Or is this a runup to a motion trying to keep cameras out of the courtroom?

Jose Baez should concentrate on the more important matters at hand dealing
with the upcoming murder trial instead of wasting the court's time and resources
over something so frigging ridiculous as someone commenting on his client's
appearance. Perhaps he should "teach" his students "how not to waste a court's
time and alienate the judge... or the taxpayers.

IRA EINHORN - THE ANTITHESIS OF PEACE AND LOVE

Holly Maddux was yet another woman who decided that living with Ira Einhorn
and his bullying, his lies and his abuse was not acceptable. She left Ira Einhorn
and that, to Ira, was a betrayal. He lured her back for her belongings and beat

Helen "Holly" Maddux's family at last achieved what they set out to do. Bring
Ira Einhorn, the so-called "Unicorn" to face his crimes in front of a jury. They
were able to lay Holly to rest not just physically, but also mentally and spiritually.

After her disappearance they had fought to find out what happened to her.
When Holly was found, mummified inside Ira Einhorn's steamer trunk,inside
a closet in Einhorn's apartment, they laid her to rest in her home state of Texas.
Then they turned their attention to tracking down her killer who had fled from
justice. Once he was extradited they attended the trial to see Einhorn convicted
for Holly's murder.

"One of the best things about the verdict is that we can separate Holly from Ira
now, in a sense that Holly is where she belongs and Ira is damn well where he

Testimony in court had been devastating.

Two former girlfriends Einhorn had assaulted in 1962 were hospitalized.
They'd tried to break up with Einhorn.
He'd strangled one leaving her bruised, unconscious, but alive.
The other, Einhorn had smashed a coke bottle over the back of her head,
breaking the bottle, leaving her cut, bleeding and unconscious.

Two young girls barely out of High School Einhorn tried to involve in his crime,
to make them accessories after the fact by trying to get them to dispose of the
steamer trunk containing the body of Holly Maddux.

George Keegan: "We were walking down the street together. People who
once would come up and hug Ira crossed the street and averted their eyes...
He looked at me, sad, and said, "I'm not going to be able to be Ira
Einhorn now." And I realized he was a selfish, arrogant bastard."

Einhorn abused people's trust, and he lived off their money while on the run
from the law. He conned those around him into thinking he was bigger than life,
and into thinking he was, what he was not.

He's a liar because he claims to be the founder of Earth Day. He was not. Move
over Al Gore - Ira Einhorn claims he "invented the internet" before there was

The jury found John Robert Kastner GUILTY of First-degree murder
in the death of Lori Moon Kastner on June 25, 2008. The jury imposed
a LIFE in prison WITHOUT POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE sentence.
Judge Gillert set formal sentencing for Sept. 27, 2010.

Lori (Moon)Kastner, a highly regarded and intelligent Attorney to the Oklahoma
Supreme Court, didn't accept anything at face value in the legal world she inhabited.
She probed thoroughly and questioned to get at the truth of a matter.

In the vernacular, she was one helluva smart cookie.

Lori been on the National Honor Society in school. She had graduated with honors in
the top 10 % of her law class and had the top grade in three of her classes. Lori was
present of the TU Women's Law Caucus and received the Order of the Curule Chair,
the highest honor given to a TU law student. With aspirations to be a judge, she'd
applied for an opening at the Court of Civil Appeals and began working there in
November of 1995. In 2005 she obtained a position at the Oklahoma Supreme
Court.

Former state Supreme Court Justice Daniel Boudreau "She was compared to the
MVP of the TU Law School. I am not overstating this to say she had one of the
finest, analytical legal minds I have ever known."

Lori was also the soft spoken mother to go to when someone needed anything.
She rescued hurt animals and cared for them until they were healed. Her home
was called"Noah's Ark" by some due to the number at any given time of cats, dogs
and other animals in residence.

Lori loved, and was devoted to her children. She
was active in both her church and in her community fundraising and related activites.
She'd converted to Judaism in recent years and was raising her children in the faith
and was active in the school her children attended. (B'nai Emunah Preschool and
Heritage Academy). John had been active with her in the B'nai Emunah congregation
with Lori, but although many assumed that he had converted when Lori did, he had
not.

For those who knew her well, it's a puzzle to them why Lori didn't investigate what
she was being told by her husband. Authorities think Lori believed Kastner's tales
along with everyone else.

On the face of things, it appears she felt she had no reason to question the man she
loved and trusted. Perhaps she wanted to believe him. Or perhaps John Kastner
created the perfect con, tailored to meet her expectations and questions. Those who
were the closest to her say that Lori wouldn't have quit a job she loved on a whim.
They say she was the type who would have insisted on checking out the non-profit
company John had lined up for her to work for. So did John Kastner create paper
work to ally her suspicions? Or did he convince her that everything he told her was
"secret" in nature due to the Israeli connections and couldn't be checked into by
normal means?

In May, a month before her death, Lori quit her job and asked a friend at a bank
about opening an international account where millions could be transferred into it
from Israel. She told family John had arranged for her to be co-owner for "713
Corporation," a charitable non-profit organization, have access to millions because
of it, and in fact, were moving to Israel.

Fraser Kastner's testimony "Mom was busy packing and getting everyone ready
for the move" the day before she was killed. Months before, his father told the family
"the charitable corporation "713" was going to be co-owned by their mother and it was
named for his father's unit in the Israeli Defense Force, seven being his father's favorite
number." His father was in charge of most of the planning for the trip. "It was mainly
him because he knew most about it."

Sally Kastner's testimony "Their father told their mother to expect having an
income of between $5 million and $6 million per year. "He said he'd saved someone
very important and we were pretty much going to have a good life with shopping,
and having a private plane that was the company's and having bodyguards."

Fraser Kastner's testimony " His father told him about one or two days after the
shooting that he did not commit the crime and that the trip to Israel had been canceled.
"He said he found out a few months before we weren't going to Israel but were
going somewhere else."

The day before the Kastner family was to fly to Israel to begin their new life, Lori Kastner
was murdered in her bed, asleep, and John Kaster claimed an intruder had done the deed.

John Kastner has been described as "intelligent and intellectual," However, once the
veneer of his lies are stripped away, the con game he's pulled on everyone doesn't
seem all that intelligent. Like Ira Einhorn, Mark Hacking and other men who've lied
and conned friends, family, neighbors and communities, John Kastner must have
enjoyed spinning lies. Secretly smirking, gratified that he'd pulled another con and
hadn't gotten caught. He must have liked lying, otherwise, why keep doing it?

Perhaps he started small with one or two lies and when he wasn't caught out went
on to bigger lies. Perhaps Kastner liked the rush he got from lying in such a grandiose
manner. Or perhaps he's always been a con man from day one. Unfortunately from
Kastner's point of view, he was caught. Just like Einhorn, Hacking and others before
them. Until a thorough investigation into his background is brought into court, (you
can bet one has been done) the public can only guess at how much of his life and
expertise has been based on lies.

Family, students, co-workers, and others feel duped, betrayed and disgusted. Some
have posted on the web saying they'd figured out his game long ago, while supporters
blindly lash out at those who dare question his integrity. They just "know" he wouldn't
go to such lengths to dupe them, or anyone. They can't believe he would stoop to murder.

But John Kastner lied to everyone. And in particular he lied Lori, their children and his
and Lori's families. John Kastner is alleged to have committed the murder, and if he did,
he didn't care about his own children and how they'd feel losing their mother to murder.
If he did, then it's clear he really didn't care about his students or anyone else.

And his lies didn't start just recently.

Casey Anthony - New Documents Released Jan. 21, 2009

The duct tape is no longer a rumor, it's true. From the released documents it's very clear that Caylee Anthony's murderer has a macabre streak. A heart shaped sticker stuck onto the duct tape that was placed across the child's mouth and into her hair on either side of her face. A sticker that fell off at some point, but remained as evidence, as did its sticky residue on the duct tape. A demented sentimental "goodbye, I love you" or a cold warped sense of humor? Among the photos in Casey Anthony's myspage pages (before they were deleted) is the familiar photo of Caylee but below it is a small red heart.

The child Caylee was wrapped in a laundry duffel bag and then placed into a garbage bag and discarded as trash. In with her body was a Winnie the Pooh blanket. The same type as the Winnie the Pooh set on her bed. A small toy horse that matches other small toy horses in the home. Pullups, little clothes and letters that stick to clothing.

There's also an insight into a grandmother's wail of despair, made not only to the 911 dispatcher, but to her supervisor. The pain raw and real and the fear was mounting.

"Cindy Anthony also called her supervisor Debbie Polisano the night she called police, July 15th 2008. Cynthia was crying and almost incoherent, screaming "I found Casey and the baby's gone. The baby's missing. We can't find the baby!" When asked if she called the police, she said they were on scene and speaking with Casey. Cynthia said "Oh my God Debbie, If something happened to the baby or if the baby's dead, I don't know what I'm going to do!"

"On December 11th, an Orange County Public Works worker located a bag with what appeared to be a human skull human skull at the 8900 block of Suburban Drive. This is less than 3/10ths of a mile from the child's Hopespring Drive address. Law enforcement was called and responded to the scene to secure it. CSI Geraldo Bloise arrived and positively confirmed that the skull with attached hair was human and that of as mall child. I arrived on scene and also confirmed that the skull appeared to be that of a small child."

"The scene was secured and the medical examiner responded to help collect the remains. The remains appeared to have been within a black plastic garbage bag and within a cloth laundry hamper bag. There was a piece of silver duct tape over the mouth area of the skull. The skull, bag and loose bones were collected and taken to the Orange County medical Examiner's office for further examination. Orange County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigators along with the FBI Evidence Response Team began processing teh crime scene. Once at the medical examiner's office Dr. Utz (Deputy Chief Medical Examiner) , Dr. Schults, (UCF Forensic anthropologist/consultant to the medical examiners office), Karen Cowan (FBI Evidence Response Team), and I better examined what was collected. When Dr. Utz went to remove the duct tape, he noticed that the tape was attached on both ends to the child's hair. The hair had to be cut in order for the duct tape to be removed. This tape was later sent to the FBI Lab in Quantico."

"While processing the duct tape at the FBI lab in Quanitco, the latent print unit noticed residue in the perfect shape of a heart. The heart was not hand drawn and residue appeared to be consistent with the adhesive side of a heart shaped sticker. It appears that the sticker was put on the duct tape intentionally. In the search area, investigators located a small heart shaped sticker similar in size to the residue found on the duct tape. The sheet from which this sticker came from was not recovered on scene."

CAFFEY FAMILY MURDERS- Erin Caffey & Bobbi Johnson Sentenced

An American family, Terry and Penny Caffey were devout people raising their family in Alba, Texas, 70 miles east of Dallas. Each day was like the previous, with work, prayer and schooling, with dreams and wishes for the future. Then one day their future went up in smoke and ashes, literally. Their dreams exploded with the first, and succeeding gun shots and sword thrusts.

A teenager with murder on her mind was the catalyst of those explosions.

Terry Caffey worked delivering medical equipment in home health care, but he was also following his dream. Terry preached a few sermons at the Miracle Faith Baptist Church where the Caffey family attended services. He was on the threshold of being ordained a Baptist Minister and was looking forward to minstering to others. His ordeal has left him extremely saddened and bereft of his family, but his faith has remained strong throughout, enabling him to forgive those who callously ripped his family from their very lives, and from him.

Penny, an accomplished seamstress, was a substitute driver for a local charity, delivering meals to the elderly and indigent. She enjoyed singing in a gospel singing group "The Gaston Singers" that performed at area churches and was also her church's pianist. Gaston "They were like family to me. The best people you could imagine." Penny's friends enjoyed her cooking and she would bring food to church for after Sunday services fellowship. Jeanie Dunlap, a friend of Penny's "Unless she was sick, she didn't miss one service." Penny's family was her pride and joy. She also shared with Terry a strong religious faith.

Matthew, 13, (nicknamed Bubba) played harmonica and bass guitar at the church and Tyler, 8, (who loved chocolate milk) would accompany his brother. Their sister Erin, 16, sometimes sang with her mother or performed solos in church. Many said she had a beautiful voice.

Prior to their move to the Alba area, the family had lived near Point, and Erin attended public school from first to seventh (7th) grade in the nearby town of Celeste. For about a year after moving to Alba, the children were homeschooled, but in Erin's freshman year (9th grade) of school, she and her brothers were allowed to attend the local schools. In a town like Alba, school consists of children where everybody is either related to, or friends with, each other and usually everbody knows everyone else's business too.

For six months the children attended the school, and during this time Matthew and Tyler made many friend among their own classmates in their respective grades. Freshman Erin Caffey, age 16, met in particular, Charles James Wilkinson age 19, Charles Allan Waid, age 20, and Bobbi Gale Johnson, age 18. These four became a clique apart from other teens, spending a lot of time together.

Erin Caffey was in the throes of young love. She was seen often holding hands in the hallways or sneaking out with Charlie Wilkinson out of the school to lock lips. Even though her parents disapproved of him, Wilkinson began showing up at church services where he and Erin would stay apart from everyone and hold hands. Churchgoers knew there was friction between Erin and her parents over Charlie but most chalked it up to "puppy love and the usual teenage stuff." Carl Johnson, friend of the family "(The parents) didn't like the boy and were trying to break them up. They told me at church they didn't have any use for him."

Pastor's wife Rebecca McGahee "That's not the girl we knew, it's just not." "We had all talked to her about this boyfriend and told her, 'Don't get swindled into something you're not ready for.' But we were thinking sex; we weren't thinking murder." Whenever she was pressed with concerns her parents had about Charlie's "possessive nature, drinking and fondness for camouflage pants" Erin would reply with "I know. I'm confused. I want to please my parents, but I like him."

The sixteen year old was so "confused" she actively sought a way to get rid of her parents so she could be "together forever" with Charlie, without any interference from anyone.

Charles Wilkinson was a senior in high school and had plans to enter the military once he had graduated. He'd already completed an Army pre-boot camp the previous summer. Charlie is described as having a fondness for oversized cowboy hats. Former classmates state "Charles was manipulative. He would convince teachers not to write him up. If he needed money or a ride, he would get it. He had that talent." Others said "He was nice, but weird." Others said he was quick to anger.

Teachers considered him to be a good student, tardy occasionally, a few absences, but not a disciplinary problem. He did however, have to be constantly told to remove his cowboy hat. Jennifer McClanahan, a friend of Charlie's since kindergarten "That's Charlie. He would start an argument over something like a hat."

Charles Wilkinson would never serve in the Army, an organization with exemplary ideals far above what Charlie would exhibit towards the Caffey family.

Charles Waid at 20 had graduated and was married to, but separated from "Diane." He was in the middle of a divorce and wanted custody of his 5 month old child. Charles was hoping to gain custody, but he needed $2,000.00 for legal fees. His new girlfriend was Bobbi Johnson, who worked down at the local Diary Queen. A friend of Bobbi's stated "He was nice, he treated her well, but we never saw her." Diane Waid, his estranged wife described Charles as "loving children" and coming from a strong christian family."

Charles Waid, who "loved children" was a primary participant in a horrific crime against two children and two adults.

Eighteen (18) year old Bobbi Gale Johnson was also in love. She'd do anything for Charles Waid. Her teachers considered her "bright, intelligent and articulate." "She seemed to have a very strong sense of right and wrong, a very srong, moral value system." Bobbi was a cheerful girl who was active in school theater and was liked by many. "I don't know anybody who didn't get along with Bobbi." Once she hooked up with Waid, that all changed.

All her friends said that she started skipping out on them. "All she wanted to do was hang out with him. He was nice, he treated her well, but we never saw her." "She wouldn't come to school a lot and would miss three days out of the week." Bobbi began disappearing from classes as well as from her friends' company. Co-workers at the DQ "She changed so much when she got with him. It's just not the Bobbi we knew."

Bobbi's myspace page stated "I LOVE CHARLES ALLEN WAID!!!!!!." She also wrote "i like to have fun and hang with my friends...pretty much most of the time im a happy person who likes to make people laugh...or just laugh period...and i love the guys..." Bobbi also liked "scary as hell horror movies, because they were so fun to watch."

Bobbi Gale Johnson, who others thought had a very strong sense of right and wrong participated in an event that far surpassed her favorite horror movies. This event was very real, scary and horrific in intensity for the victims. Even though all she did was drive a vehicle, and sit and wait while the crimes were committed, she's as culpable because she did nothing to warn someone, or to stop it.

Terry and Penny were having continuous arguments with Erin over Charlie. They definitely weren't as thrilled with Charles Wilkinson as she was. Mainly their objections centered around the age difference, but his drinking and seeming "control" over Erin didn't fit with their lifestyle and beliefs.

Terry Caffey's father, Erin's grandfather, passed away and as the family attended his funeral, Erin Caffey was already plotting murder. For about a month she talked about killing her parents with her friends, especially her boyfriend Charles and Charles Waid. But that's all it amounted to, talk. Bobbi is fired for excessive absenteeism.

For another two weeks Erin continues fighting with her parents. They've taken her cell phone away and still object to her relationship with Charlie. Then came the Thursday night Terry and Penny forbid her to see him. They expressly told Charles Wilkinson that he and Erin were to break up their relationship.

Police report "Wilkinson stated that Erin Caffey wanted her parents dead because they would not let her see Wilkinson and they even took away her cell phone. The discussion to kill Erin's parents had been ongoing for about a month." "Erin, Wilkinson and Waid had several conversations on how to kill her parents."

Erin Caffey wanted to be with Charles Wilkinson, and wouldn't take no for an answer. When her parents insisted they break up, she got mad. Killing mad.

Charlie Wilkinson "Erin and I were in love and the only way we could be together was to kill the parents."

The very next night, Friday night, the dog sensed the two figures shouldn't be at the house in the darkness and he barked to warn his family. Charles Wilkinson and Charles Waid crept up to the house, but the dog wouldn't shut up. There was no way they were going in there with Terry awake. So they returned to the car where Bobbi Johnson waited. Erin called them and told them to give her time to quiet the dog, and to return in about an hour. When they came back to the property, Erin was waiting for them at the end of the long drive. She got into the car and they parked a bit farther down the road and discussed how to do the "job."

Charles Waid "It was decided to just walk in there and take care of "business." "I was offered $2,000 to help kill the Caffeys." Charles Waid was willing to kill two children and two adults in order to gain custody of his own child.

Again the two returned to the house. Wilkinson entered the master bedroom and shot at Penny Caffey. Terry Caffey awoke to the gunshots and to recognize Charles Wilkinson standing in the bedroom and heard "Charlie!" being yelled. Terry put his arm up to shield himself and was shot several times. Police report "Wilkinson said he fired a .22-caliber handgun at Mrs. Caffey several times, but did not kill her. He then handed the weapon to Mr. Waid, who fired several more times at the man and wife."

Matthew and Tyler came running down from the loft where they slept when they heard the shots. Charles Wilkinson told them to go back to bed. Police report "Mr. Wilkinson told them to return to their beds in the loft. The two men followed the children upstairs. Mr. Waid shot 13-year-old Matthew in the head or neck, records show, and both men stabbed 8-year-old Tyler with a sword."

Charles Waid, who's wife claimed "he loved children" shot 13 year old Matthew. Then he pulled out a sword his wife had given him as a present, and used it to stab 8 year old Tyler multiple times. He handed it to Wilkinson who also stabbed the child.

At this point, Waid and Wilkinson thought their mission was accomplished and that the family was dead.

After they'd "killed" the family. They rifled through the bedroom and took money from Terry's wallet and jewelry Erin had told them about. Waid and Wilkinson went to the bathroom laundry room and Wilkinson used the combination Erin had given him to open a small lock box to retrieve the cash inside. They picked up Erin's purse and bag she'd packed and had told them not to forget.

Then Waid and Wilkinson used hand held lighters to set fire to bedspreads, food items, laundry and furniture to cover up their crimes. The two males ran out to the car. Flames could be seen rising from the house as they sped away. It's likely they whooped and hollered as they drove off down the road and filled Erin and Bobbi in on the gory details.

While they were driving away, Terry Caffey, bloodied, shot in the head, shoulder and chest and twice in the back, roused himself. He knew his family was dead and the flames were increasing in intensity. If he didn't get out to get help he'd die. There were only three houses in this remote location, and Terry dragged himself out of the burning house and crawled determinedly across 300 yards of dirt and scrubby grass to his nearest neighbor's porch. Tommy Gaston found him there and called 911.

The four murderous conspirators decided to drive around for awhile. Later Erin and Charles Wilkinson were dropped off at Charlie Waid's trailer. There, he and Erin had sex in celebration. It is early Saturday morning.

The house was engulfed with flames by the time first responders, firefighters and police arrived. A few minutes later, the medical supply van with oxygen tanks caught fire and exploded. At Tommy Gaston's house, Terry Caffey, though bleeding profusely, was still conscious and he told police the name of their assailant. Charlie Wilkinson. At the time both Terry and the police thought that Erin had also been inside the house and killed with the other family members. John Wright living about a half a mile from the Caffey's "I was awakened by a loud boom at about 4:30 A.M."

The Caffey home burned, the flames and smoke killing Penny, Tyler and Matthew and rendering their bodies unrecognizable.

The next morning, a Sunday, when the family would normally be in church, Terry Caffey was undergoing surgery to remove a bullet in his head. Diane Dunlap stated "Terry has complained of hearing gunshots when he's conscious."

Authorities drove to Waid's trailer and found Charles Wilkinson inside, two guns beside him.

Charles Wilkinson was arrested and taken down to the jail for interrogation. He quickly confessed. Arrest affidavit.

Then Bobbi Johnson was arrested.

Both Charles Waid and Bobbi Johnson quickly confessed to their part in the crimes.

A deputy went back to Waid's trailer and while there found Erin Caffey, curled in a fetal position, hidden under a pile of clothing and stuffed animals.

She told the deputy that "I was asleep and awoke to two people yelling at me to get on the floor." She also told him she remembered "fire but nothing else." Erin was also arrested. Authorities recovered a rifle, and a pistol, two swords " and a condom. Bond for all of them was set at $1.5 million, $500,000 for each charge of capital murder.

Rains County Sherrif David Traylor "Three arrests were made within an hour and a half of the murders, and another came in the early afternoon. We feel confident that the motive was the fact that the juvenile daughter and one of the individuals in custody were dating and that the parents were attempting to break the relationship up, which led to the crime that was committed." "One small caliber gun and one knife were used in the attack."

Traylor stated "Penny Caffey and Matthew suffered gunshots and stab wounds; the youngest, Tyler, had only stab wounds."

Matthew's friends and fellow students cried in disbelief and the community cried with them, stunned at the killings, and at who had committed them.

Jennifer McClanahan "Last week in English, Charlie was scolded by the teacher for being on the computer. Charlie was like "My girlfriend's dad hacked into my myspace. He told that to the teacher." Jennifer was asked "Do you think Wilkinson could do something this horrible?" She replied "Yes. If he wanted to be with Erin, there is no telling." It was determined that Terry Caffey had not hacked into Wilkinson's myspace page.

Justice of the Peace Don Smith "Preliminary autopsy reports show "all three suffered from smoke inhalation, which means they were still breathing when the house was on fire."

After hearings in the case in which the death penalty was on the table, both Charles Wilkinson and Charles Waid pled guilty to capital murder. Erin Caffey was determined to be an adult and scheduled for trial as was Bobbi Johnson.

Rains County Attorney Robert Vititow "As for Erin Caffey, two life sentences, will she ever parole out? I can't answer that. And if she did, she would still have another 25 year sentence to serve and so the odds are that she may never get out."

So begins another, at least to them, unforseen chapter in their lives. Without thinking of the consequences to others or to themselves, they are justly reaping what they sowed.

Angels do live on earth.

You may know them, be related to them or have met them. First responders, doctors, nurses, firemen, law enforcement, family members or friends. They help us when we are at a low point in our lives. They pick us up, dust us off, and help us to carry on. Many of us meet some of those Angels when things go horribly wrong in our lives.

There are other types of Angels. Search & Recovery.

They are the ones called in when a search or a recovery has been deemed too difficult, too deep, or local agencies have exhausted their resources.

Meet Gene and Sandra Ralston.

The Ralston's renamed their vessel after Kathy Garrigan, an Ameri-corps Volunteer from Illinois, who the Ralston's searched for, and recovered in Alaska. Bill Dwyer's article, A year later, Garrigon's count blessings, explains about that search and the decision to rename the vessel.

At last count, they are responsible for 56 people who have been recovered and returned to their families and friends. Remains that would have continued to rest in their watery graves, except for the skill and dedication of the Ralstons.

They give generously of their time, spending anywhere from 150 to 200 days away from their own home and family to conduct searches and training throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Aruba.

It's not just that they've provided specialized skills to help recover accident, drowning or homicide victims. Gene & Sandy approach each survey with empathy and compassion for those they are searching for, and for their loved ones who are desperately hoping to bring them home. They've made a lasting impression upon the family, friends, and communities of those they've recovered.

In 2004, Gene & Sandra Ralston were nominated to receive a Special Commendation from the Higgins and Langley Memorial Awards Committee. The awards are generally given for outstanding achievement in swiftwater search and rescue, but also include recognition for other water search and rescue achievement.

Gene & Sandy graciously allowed me to interview them for CMM:

Patsy: How did you both feel when you were informed you were nominated?
Were you able to travel to D.C. to the ceremony?

Gene & Sandy: "It was a great honor to be nominated and even greater honor to be selected. We were unable to attend the award ceremony because we were conducting a search for a missing person."

Patsy: How would you describe, or give a name to what you do?

Gene: "We perform underwater search and recovery for anything underwater. We primarily search for missing people, but also search for vehicles, boats and aircraft."

Patsy: You've spoken about how, in 1983 you recovered a drowning victim and ever since have volunteered your services. Would you tell us more about that?

Gene: "We were building a small whitewater jet boat in the 1980's. It was especially designed for boating shallow water as well as white water rivers. In March, 1983, I was asked to help search for a missing woman in the Boise River. The river was at flood stage and few boats were able to navigate the narrow river. We had to launch our boat down a set of concrete steps because there were no boat ramps in that reach of the river.

The woman had gone missing late the night before and we started a visual search
along the river banks. We found her lodged against a tree, which had been undercut by the current and had fallen into the river. Her family's expressions of gratitude were overwhelming.

A week later we were asked to search for a two year old boy who had gone missing from his front yard. Authorities thought he may have wandered to, and fallen into the river near his home. We did not find him and he is still missing today."

Patsy: How do you usually get involved in a case? Is it the family or Law Enforcement, (or both) or some other organizations that contact you?

Gene & Sandy: "Most often we are contacted by the family or a close friend of the family of the missing person. Occasionally a law enforcement agency or search and rescue group will contact us early on in an incident, but usually we are asked to help long after others have given up searching."

Patsy: If a person or a family needs the type of services you provide, what agency or person would you recommend they start with in their own area?

Gene: "Typically we are contacted after all of the local search and rescue organizations have exhausted their resources. We do know a few private people with similar equipment who are able to travel outside their local area to assist others. Unfortunately there are some national organizations that we can not recommend because of our past experiences with them."

Patsy: If a person or family would like to request your services directly, how would they go about doing so?

Gene: "Anyone needing our assistance can contact us directly by phone
(208) 362-1303, or by email glralston @ mindspring.com. Since we are a private organization, we do not have to be requested by or through a law enforcement agency."

Patsy: You volunteer the use of your ROV, vessel, and the side scan sonar. What do you require as payment for your services?

Gene: "All we ask for our assistance is that our expenses be reimbursed. This includes our motorhome and boat fuel, and camping fees. Many times a local campground or marina will donate a camping space.

We also ask for a small fee based upon mileage, which partly covers our overhead costs such as insurance, equipment maintenance and repairs. We drive between 20,000 and 30,000 miles each year, so we have considerable upkeep.

Most of our searches cost less than $2000 depending upon the cost per gallon of fuel. A trip to the east coast could cost as much as $5000."

Patsy: What if someone isn't in a position to be able to provide expenses?

Gene: "When a family cannot afford the cost, we give them suggestions for soliciting donations and fund raising, which generally produces more than our expenses.

We have conducted searches at no cost when they are close to home and our expenses are minimal. We do not ask for money up front, and only once have we not been paid as agreed by the requesting party."

Patsy: How do you decide whether to take on a particular search request?

Gene & Sandy: "We attempt to get as much information about the incident as possible to evaluate whether or not we can be of any further assistance in the search.

On two occasions we were able to review side scan images made by others and found three victims, which they had missed. In one case, the local divers were able to recover the victim without our having to go to the scene.

Investigators in the other case refused to believe they had imaged the father and son victims so we had to travel to Ohio to recover them. It has been very rare that we have declined assistance and that is usually because the conditions underwater were not suitable for using side scan or the search area was too large to cover in a reasonable amount of time."

Patsy: When do you know it's time to end a search? How do you go about making that decision?

Gene & Sandy: "We continue a search until we believe we have covered the area as thoroughly as possible with a high probability of detection. Often we expand the search outside the original area until we believe we have covered all of the area the victim could be in.

The decision to end a search does not come lightly. It is made in consultation with the family as well as the responsible legal authority. On a few occasions we have returned to continue searching if new information is discovered or additional witnesses come forward."

Patsy: Do you ever allow family members or friends of the person you are searching for onto the boat during a search? Or during an actual recovery?

Gene & Sandy: "Yes, we have had family members or close family friends onboard when we were searching. We have had family members on board when we first discovered the missing person, but we do not allow them on board during the recovery process. That is not something a family member should experience because it will be a lasting memory that may overshadow better memories. On every occasion that a family member was on board, it was a very positive emotional experience for them as well as for us."

Patsy: It's difficult for anyone to tell someone that their loved one is deceased, much less to inform them that they've been lost underwater. It must be equally hard to inform a family that they've been found and recovered. Would you explain how you feel when you notify a family that you have located or recovered their loved one?

Gene & Sandy: "It is difficult to explain the feeling. It is a mixture of sadness, relief, and intense satisfaction that we have been able to bring some resolution to terrible tragedy. Families often tell us that no words can possibly express their gratitude for bringing their loved one home."

Patsy: Do any of the families of those you've recovered maintain contact with you?

Gene & Sandy: "Many of the families we help stay in contact with us. The brother of a young Peruvian man we found in a lake in California, calls us just before Christmas every year to let us know how much his family appreciates what we do and to see how we are doing. We often visit families when we travel through their home towns."

Patsy: How important is it to have Law Enforcement's co-operation on scene? How co-operative are they usually? Have you run into authorities who were skeptical about what you do or your chances?

Gene & Sandy: "It is important to have a responsible agency involved and on the water in one or more boats. Many of our searches are on very busy waterways and we need a law enforcement presence to keep other boat traffic away from our search area and to keep their boat wakes from creating problems with the side scan images. Most of the time, the local authority will provide at least one boat for patrol. A few times they did not provide any assistance and only wanted to be contacted when we found what we were looking for.

The worst situations we have encountered for lack of support have been in Canada. Never have we had RCMP patrol during a search and most of the time they do not even show up after the victim has been recovered and brought to shore. They simply sent an ambulance or other transport to pick up the body. Once the RCMP thought we were going to transport the body to the funeral home! In that case we had to make the arrangements with the funeral home to do the transport.

Early in our career, many agencies were skeptical about the capabilities of the equipment. Now, as more agencies are learning about the equipment, they are more willing to request our services and are even buying their own equipment."

Patsy: Who pilots the boat?

Gene: "Sandy drives the boat and is a very key part of our "team". Sandy has a realtime navigation program, which she uses to follow the parallel search grid lines. She has the most difficult job of either of us. It can be very tedious, boring and tiring keeping the boat on the correct line hour after hour but the rewards are great.

Patsy: I know you've helped first responders in Wauconda, Illinois train in identifying bodies underwater using side-scan sonar. After you've conducted a difficult, but successful recovery mission, have other Law Enforcement agencies ever obtained their own sonar? Have you helped in their training too?

Gene & Sandy: "As more agencies buy their own equipment, it becomes increasingly important for them to get good training. We started a training program in 2001 and have been doing more training as agencies learn about us. Several agencies have bought side scan equipment based on our successful searches in their jurisdictions, particularly when we have found the victim within
a few minutes of beginning the search.

Many agencies only use their equipment a few times a year, which is not sufficient to attain and maintain proficiency. In addition, as staff is rotated to other positions, the new staff needs to be trained."

Patsy: Was it more difficult getting set up or in getting co-operation for a search in Aruba or Mexico? What sort of things do you have to prepare for when doing a search out of the U.S. or Canada?

Gene: "Texas Equusearch asked for my help in Aruba. They were responsible for doing all of the preparation and getting permission to conduct the search. It was too much of a problem to get my equipment shipped and into the country, so they rented lighter weight equipment in Houston and the rental agency arranged the necessary paperwork to get the equipment into and returned from Aruba.

Shipping equipment to a foreign country requires the use of an ATA Carnet, which is essentially a passport for equipment. It requires a bond posted in the amount of the value of the equipment, which is forfeited if you do not take the equipment out of the country. When I went to Mexico, I did not take equipment, but rather went to provide training to the team in the use of their own equipment.

When we travel to Canada, we drive, taking our own boat and equipment. It is much easier crossing the border by driving than flying and shipping equipment. I did fly on my last trip to Newfoundland because they had just purchased their own equipment and wanted help with the search."

Patsy: Other than Texas Eqqusearch, what other Rescue groups have you worked closely with?

Gene & Sandy: "We have worked with many search and rescue groups in the local area of our searches. One notable organization was the Canadian Navy's Atlantic Fleet Diving Unit in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Following the recovery there, we were invited to tour their facility, which was very interesting to see their ships and equipment."

Patsy: You've been involved in many less publicized cases as well as several high profile searches including Laci Peterson, Natalie Holloway, and the case of four Russian mafia homicide victims. What was the largest search effort you've ever been involved in?

Gene: "The largest search, in terms of number of agencies involved and the size of the search area, would be the search for Laci Peterson. There were dozens of agencies involved and hundreds of people and we searched areas from Tuolumne County to San Francisco Bay.

The search for Stacy Peterson also involved a huge number of agencies and people, but the search area was much smaller."

Patsy: What search do you feel was the most difficult technically?

Gene: "The most difficult challenges for the use of side scan include irregular rocky bottom conditions. The two worst areas in this regard were the Eastern coast of Newfoundland and Shuswap Lake in British Columbia. In both locations, there were near vertical rock walls with crevasses and large boulders, which could easily hide the people we were looking for. In situations like these, we attempt to use our ROV to visually search, but that is a very time consuming process to search a large area. Large, still standing trees can also make searching difficult.

We searched for space shuttle Columbia debris in Toledo Bend Reservoir on the Texas-Louisiana border. Much of the reservoir was filled with a still standing forest of 85 foot tall trees in 80 feet of water! The only way to avoid the trees was to stay in the buoyed lanes where the old highways once were."

Patsy: Having grown up in the region close to Toledo Bend I'm familiar with the water conditions and terrain difficulties you faced in the search for the Columbia, and how far the debris field spread. In your search for the Columbia, were you called upon to look for remains, debris or both?

Gene: "Initially we were searching for remains as well as debris in the reservoir. The last astronaut was found on land towards the end of the first week I was on scene. Several reports were received from fishermen on the very foggy lake that morning indicating they heard very loud splashes nearby. We tried to pinpoint those areas from the witness statement and search those areas first. The only piece of debris found in the lake to my knowledge, was a portion of a wheel assembly and brake."

Patsy: How long were you on site?

Gene: "I was at Toledo Bend Reservoir about two weeks. I arranged for a friend of mine who has the same equipment to take over my position when I left. He remained there several weeks."

Patsy: Each search takes a toll on the emotions, but particularly those searches that are unsuccessful. And being away from home so much has to affect both of you in some way. How do you both handle that?

Gene & Sandy: "The emotional toll starts when we are first contacted by a family member. Often we have not heard about the incident and every story is shocking to hear, especially details provided by a family member who is desperate to find their loved one.

As the search goes on, we often become close to the family and like to keep them informed of our progress and any problems we are experiencing. We try to look beyond the tragedy of the incident to the good that can come from finding the missing person and bringing them home to their family.

Patsy: Has there been a search that you would have liked to been involved in but couldn't because of other commitments?

Gene & Sandy: "We have had to decline going to some searches because of prior commitments. It is very difficult to prioritize searches when we have multiple requests.

We have a number of criteria for consideration of priority. We place missing children as well as homicide investigations as a very high priority. Usually we try to prioritize based on first come, first served. We have combined multiple searches in a single trip, usually going to the closest location first.

Patsy: Do you always use your own vesssel and sonar gear or are there times when you use someone else's?

Gene & Sandy: "We prefer to use our own boat and equipment because we are familiar with it and it is all set up the way we want to make searching easier. In addition, we are not at the mercy of someone else and their schedule. On a few occasions we have had to use someone else's boat because it was not advisable to tow our boat during severe winter conditions or the search was outside North America."

Patsy: Has there been occasions when you were searching for someone and found others?

Gene: "During two separate searches we have found people we were not looking for. In one case on Hayden Lake in Northern Idaho, we knew a man had been missing in the lake for about 19 months, but had no idea in what part of the lake. We found him within the first five minutes of beginning to search for a teen aged boy who had drowned within the past few days. After finding the first man, we continued the search and found the young man seven minutes after resuming the search.

The second time this happened was on Priest Lake, also in Northern Idaho. We were searching for a man who went missing while sailing. His boat was found aground on an island two days after anyone had last seen him. The search area was very large because we had no idea where he may have fallen from the sailboat.

A few days into the search we found what initially appeared to be a bear on the bottom of the lake near the island in about 350 feet of water. We asked a search dog handler friend of ours to go into that area to see if her water trained cadaver dog would express any interest. Sure enough, her dog got very excited. We borrowed an ROV to inspect the body and sure enough it was a human. The condition of the remains were too fragile to recover more than a small portion.

We also found a small wooden boat nearby, which matches the style of boats used on the lake in the early 1900's. A review of missing person records dating back to 1915 or so did not reveal anyone missing in that area."

Patsy: Do you always have a water trained cadaver dog and handler on site for each search?

Gene: "We try to have the local authority request water trained search dogs before we arrive. We have a very good friend in Montana whom we trust and believe in, that we ask to go on some searches when she is available. She has gone as far as Iowa and Arkansas to participate in searches with us."

Patsy: Is it common for you to search specifically for someone and find others?

Gene: "No, it is very uncommon to find someone we are not looking for. We do find sunken boats, cars and other items lost or intentionally dumped in the water, but we seldom do anything with those items other than report the locations to the local authorites for followup."

Patsy: You've told me about a missing person case dating back to the 1800's in the area of Priest Lake that you were interested in. Would you tell us more aboutthat?

Gene: "We have heard reports of a priest who went out on the lake in the late 1800's to visit a parishioner and never returned. There is a house on the island nearby, which would have been there in that time period. We have not been able to identify that person we found because he/she is in about 350 feet of water and the remains are very fragile and difficult to recover.

The design of the boat matches that of row boats on the lake in that time period. We would like to return someday to do further research to see if we can determine the identity of this person and if the boat we found nearby could yield clues."

Patsy: Thank you very much Gene & Sandy for consenting to this interview and providing us an informative and interesting insight into the search and recovery work that you do.

Gene & Sandy: "You're welcome, and thank you for having us."

Unfortunately, some of us at some time, will require the specialized services of Gene & Sandra Ralston. And when we do, they, and others like them, are out there working to find and bring home lost loved ones, to provide a chance for loved ones to say as the Ralstons put it, "a last, best, goodbye" possible given the circumstances.

JUSTIN MERTIS BARBER - A TIMELINE TO MURDER

Justin Mertis Barber is currently incarcerated at Century C.I Facility
in St. John's County, State of Florida for the August 17, 2002 pre-
meditated, 1st Degree murder of April Barber. He is serving a sentence
of Life in prison.

Why would a mugger on a beach murder and wound and then take nothing?

The scenario that Justin Mertis Barber put forth was just that:

A man wielding a gun approached Justin and his wife April Barber on a
deserted, dark beach, demanded money and then first killed April, a tiny,
slight woman,who was clearly of no threat to him. The man wounds Justin
Barber,a fit person,capable of fighting back.

(The details of the encounter change in the telling, going from a vague
description to Law Enforcement, to telling a journalist with 48 Hours
CBS) that he could recognize him if he saw him again.)

Then the mugger absconds without taking Barber's wallet or any of April's
jewelry.

Barber claimed that badly injured, he tried to carry April up to the road to
their car but couldn't. He left her lying on the beach, alone, to drive to get
help, driving almost 10 miles before flagging someone down; driving past an
open McDonalds; a 24 hour gas station; a 24 hour Walgreens before finally
eliciting help from a passing car farther down the road.

All the while, April's cell phone is in the vehicle.

"Did you ask him why he didn't stop at any houses?" "Yes." "And
what did he tell you?" "He said he didn't want to get some old
man out of bed."

Justin Barber was a serial philanderer who had (unbeknownst to his wife April)
been incurring an increasing debt load. He was also a man deeply concerned
about appearances. He is described by April's friends and family as
"intense and competitive."

Amber Mitchell (Friend of April who introduced them to each other)"He would
put his high school jeans on once a month to make sure they still fit. And if
they didn't,he would fast until they did. He gave April a hard time about weight
to the point where she was almost paranoid about gaining weight. And she was
tiny."

Patricia Parrish (April's aunt) "He made fun of his overweight mother behind
her back, and publicly criticized April's singing voice, her taste in clothing
and her weight. He warned her not to embarrass him at his company Christmas
party and discouraged her from calling or e-mailing him at work. When his barbs
made her cry, he mimicked her sobs."

Justin Barber had been married once before his marriage to April Lott,
and that marriage had ended in divorce. Two failed marriages would make
him look less than marriageable material to any future prospec tive brides.
It would also be a slight against his own ego. He enjoyed the appearance
of being the good husband and surrogate father; the smart, intelligent
businessman and day trader.

He later chose another role, murderer.

"He wanted the $2 Million; He wanted sympathy for being shot;
and he wanted to look like a hero who tried to save his wife.
He wanted it all."

In the death of April Barber, just as he did at other times about his
problems, finances or mistakes, Justin blamed someone else for his deeds.

A TIMELINE TO MURDER:

1997 - July - Oklahoma - Justin Barber reports a burglary at his home.
Insurance claim - $15,000.

Barber marries his first wife while in college.

1998 - Prior to meeting Barber April dates men who's strong suit
isn't fidelity.

October - April Lott is introduced to newly divorced Justin Barber. He moves to
Dallas, Tx and the two carry on a long distance romance.

Two weeks before they marry, April voices misgivings, her instincts tell her to call
off the wedding. She ignores those instincts.

Amber Mitchell "I was worried that it was really quick and maybe they didn't know
each other well enough yet to do that. But I supported her completely, because she
was happy and I wanted to see her happy."

1999 - August 4 - April Lott and Justin Barber marry in the Bahamas. (10 months
after meeting.) They relocate and reside in Douglas, Georgia where Justin is transferred
and April finds employment at a cancer center.
From the start, both keep their finances separate.

September - April's siblings Julie and Kendon move in with them. (April had been
helping to care for them since their mother died of cancer.) Julie is 15 and rebellious.
Justin was infuriated at Julie, and at April's handling of her, sparking fights between
them.

According to several of April's confidants, "Justin threatened "to never let April bear
his children."

2000 - April's sister, Julie moves back to Oklahoma. "Whenever we first lived with
them, it was good. Towards the end of living with them, it got kind of tense. I was
very strong willed and I didn't like it." "Of course it was difficult for them, 'cause
they were so young and trying to raise two kids.

It was very hard, I understood that. But they tried their hardest to give us
everything that we could possibly want or need." "Whenever we first lived
with them, it was good."

Their brother Kendon follows Julie back to Oklahoma shortly afterwards - against
Justin's wishes.

Amber Mitchell "He was really angry. None of us understood why he cared so
much about it except for if he liked the appearance of being such a noble
guy to take in these children."

While in Georgia with his wife April, Justin Barber engages in a sexual affair with
another woman.

Justin Barber "I don't know, I have no excuse for it and I would never dream of
trying to excuse that behavior." "I don't know what really started that other than
I guess I got just a little bit too full of myself."

2001 - Justin Barber was transferred to Jacksonville, Florida. April decided to stay in
Georgia at her job. Justin purchases a condon in an upscale neighborhood. It is usually
April who makes the three hour trek to visit him in Florida.

Amber Mitchell "She told me that if they lived together every day, they'd kill each
other."

"She just wasn't ready to give up on Justin. He could be charming, and his
criticisms dovetailed with some of her deep insecurities. She was harder on
herself than anyone else. She put up with a lot from her men."

Justin Barber "Living apart was stressful. We didn't see each other as much as we
needed to."

A $2 Million life insurance policy is issued on April Barber, and the same amount
in a policy on Justin Barber. (8 months after Justin moves to Jacksonville,Florida)
The payment on the two life term insurance polices was $1,030 in in annual premiums.
Barber states he bought them as an investment.

Patricia Parrish "April had told me Justin wanted them to take out $2 million
insurance policies on each other's lives. "She asked if I didn't think it weird that
he was pushing for such a large amount."

"I told her yeah but said I didn't think they would qualify. She called back the next day
and said, "You can't say anything to Justin. He'll be furious if he finds out I told you."
Justin finds a company that covers them for that amount.

2002 - February 14, Valentine's Day - Justin Barber Google's "trauma cases;
gunshot right chest" on the Internet.

One week later: "Medical trauma gunshot chest."

July 19 - Florida Divorce.

Other searches Barber was found to have conducted: "Immigrating to Brazil;
acute blood loss." Barber was also looking up famous murder cases.

2002 - June - Justin Barber reports the theft of his Audi vehicle, and a Ruger 9
mm pistol inside the vehicle. Insurance claim - $39,000.

2002 - July - August- Justin Barber engages in an affair with Shannon Kennedy,
manager of a car rental office (that his firm does business with) who later testified
that at first she didn't know he was married. Once she knew, Barber told her
"He said he loved her; he just couldn't live with her."

"Either his family or her family was coming to town, and he needed the pictures
(of Justin and April) to go up" (around the condo) "just to make it look like they
remained happy."

"Justin had invited me to go on a trip to Georgia." "He'd also stated he might be
moving to California and invited me to move to California with him." Kennedy
refused both offers.

Kennedy later stated in court that she had considered the relationship with Barber
as "casual and without a future."

Barber admits that April had confronted him about Shannon Kennedy and other
women, but claims that "April never gave me any ultimatums or talked of divorce."

April figures out he's having an affair and defies Justin's edict not to email him at
work and asks him to "tell her when he was socializing with other women."
Justin responds sarcastically listing every female he'd glimpsed that day."

Debt - Justin Barber had made a series of cash advances $36,000, in bad e-trades
on the stock market. He was using credit cards to pay off the trades. He owed
$56,000 in credit card bills.

Three weeks before the murder, April was living and working in Georgia
and Justin was in Jacksonville. April's vehicle and home were broken into.

2002 - August - April Barber confides in her friend Amber Mitchell that "Justin
has been cheating on her and had denied it when confronted."

Authorities later determined that Justin had at least 5 affairs he'd engaged in
(and admitted to in court) during the three years of their marriage. One was with
a woman in New Zealand; another, Justin claims he couldn't remember her name.

April told her boss, Ramesh Nair, that "she was going to confront Justin on their
anniversary - August 4th."

2002 - August 4 - Third Wedding Anniversary - April told Justin she was
"leaving and divorcing him." April also told friends and family members of her
"plans to divorce."

Randas Honeman April's cousin "She told me she was leaving her husband and
moving to Oklahoma." April Barber had inquired into real estate and a job in her
home state of Oklahoma.

April returns to Georgia upset and tells her boss Ramesh Nair that "she'd
threatened to end the marriage, but Justin had denied everything."

Justin Barber "I can tell you without a doubt that April never told me that she
was divorcing me." "To say that April had confronted me with leaving and
divorcing, not true at all." "She was one of a kind and I didn't deserve to have her."

2002 - August 16 - Friday. April Barber drives to Jacksonville to see Justin for
the weekend.

2002 - August 17 - Saturday - Hours before the murder, Justin Barber downloads
16 songs from the Internet including Guns 'N Roses song "I Used to Love Her but
I Had to Kill Her." It was the ONLY song DELETED before Justin turned his home
and work computers over to investigators.

Lyrics: "I used to love her, but I had to kill her - I had to put her - Six feet under -
And I can still hear her complain." "I'd miss her - So I had to keep her -She's
buried right in my backyard."

Mere hours before April's death, she and her sister Julie shared a phone
conversation. "April told me she loved me. She told me she was going to
call me later on that evening, and that she loved me. That was the last thing."

Saturday evening: April Barber is murdered.

Justin Barber attempts to drown April, then, believing she is dead (she was unconscious)
he drags her to the boardwalk and shoots her through the cheek, with the bullet trajectory snapping the base of her skull, killing her.

Justin shoots himself in his left hand, his left shoulder, the base of his neck and his chest,
then leaves April's body on the beach while he drives for "help."

Neither Justin's wallet or April's diamond ring were taken in the "alleged robbery."

Amber Mitchell "She was leaving him. She told him, the last time she saw him alive,
that she was leaving him."

August 18 - Sunday - Justin Barber's wounds were not life threatening. He was
given antibacterial cream and bandages, and released from hospital the next day.

After April Barber's death:

Two days after April's death, Justin Barber stopped by Shannon Kennedy's office
and demanded to see her. He pursues her for several more weeks.

After an interview with police in which he denied vehemently that he did not have
an affair with Shannon Kennedy, he was confronted by Investigators with bringing
her into the room. Barber backs down and admits that he was involved in an affair
with her. Afterwards, he asks the officers if they will see if Kennedy will give him
a ride home. Kennedy declines.

When Ramesh Nair is informed of April's death he remembers something
April had told him a few months earlier: "One day, out of the blue, April said,
"If anything happens to me, suspect foul play." I answered with a joke, and she
looked hurt, like, You're not taking me seriously. Don't forget."

THE FUNERAL:

Amber Mitchell "Justin seemed distant. He was almost mute. He was looking at
the floor, he wouldn't make eye contact with anybody."

Patricia Parrish "Justin asked me to pay for the funeral since he was broke."
Justin had shrugged when asked to make decisions about April's funeral.

When Justin asked Patricia if she would pay for burial expenses, Patricia asked
"What about the $2 million?" Justin was startled. "Did April tell you?" Justin
told Patricia he thought the policy had lapsed. Patricia Parrish checked into it
and learned that the policy was still in effect.

THE INVESTIGATION:

Justin Barber had four wounds. Detective Cole: "One on his left shoulder that
appeared to kind of be going out and away. He had another one on his right
shoulder kind of like on a muscle that you shrug your shoulders. That kind
of was on an angle kind of out and away. He had another wound right on
the right chest that almost appeared like a grazing wound. And then he
had another wound in the center of his left hand which exited out the back
of the hand." "His vital signs were normal and his arms were functioning fine
when he was released from the hospital."

Justin Barber was shot exactly in the locations he had been researching on the
Internet.

"Justin's account of the attack was oddly businesslike. His body language and
demeanor didn't seem appropriate. His description and story was vague and
the details kept changing."

Justin claimed that April had been drinking, but her blood-alcohol level
measured .000.

Justin seems to have thought the local police were rubes. He was taken
aback by the size of the police department. He queried the officers as to
their success rate.

During the investigation of April Barber's death, Justin Barber had filed for
the insurance proceeds of two policies held on his wife, April Barber's life.

The insurance companies placed the monies into accounts pending the court's
determination of whether he was responsible for the murder of April Barber.

During a deposition Barber is asked to recall the high points of his marriage.
"Justin said tersely, "We were in love." When pressed for details Justin stated

"I don't recall specifically."

Justin Barber "If that jury thinks I killed April, then they should
execute me. I would never ask for mercy for the person who killed her."
Asked why not, Justin says "Because they don't deserve it. And if that
jury believes that I'm that person, then they should send me to death
row."

2006 - Justin Barber was convicted of the murder of April Barber.
The jury did hand down a sentence sending him to death row. However,
upon review, the Judge determined that the case did not meet the
determination for heinous and commuted the sentence to life in prison.

Juror "The blood flow is everything. Justin Barber's story is that she
was shot down by the water and then carried 18 different positions with her
head moving in all kinds of directions. The blood flow would be everywhere.
Instead, it's in a unified direction. And, what the significance of that is,
his story just wasn't true."

Julie Lott "It was heartbreaking, because somebody that we had trusted
and somebody that we had loved would be capable of doing something
like that to our sister. We both looked up to him. I was happy, but then
again it breaks my heart."

Patricia Parrish "Relieved for an instance and then heartbroken for
Justin's mother."

The insurance monies were paid out to April Barber's family and they filed
a wrongful death lawsuit against Barber.

In the Civil Suit - Barber claims that he thought that the policy on April
had lapsed because he had stopped paying the premiums and that he was
surprised the policy was still in effect. He also claimed that he and April
had decided to let the policies lapse.

(From the start of the policy the bills were issued directly to Justin
Barber in Fla. Yet somehow, the last bill before her death was
addressed to April and sent to her in Georgia. April paid the bill.)

2007 - Justin Barber filed suit against April Barber's Estate, specificially
against her Aunt Patricia Parrish, and April's two siblings over two
insurance policies. Barber claimed that he being the spouse and
beneficiary, he should have received proceeds from both policies.

Barber stated that the insurance payouts should have been claiming that
the trial court erred in granting summary judgement because his conviction
could not be considered final before he had exhausted all of his appellate
rights.

He lost. Florida's Slayer Statute refers to a final conviction, not when all
appeals are exhausted.

2008 - Justin Barber's files appeal to vacate his conviction and sentence,
to remand his case to the Circuit Court with instructions that any
retrial be barred under Double Jeopardy principles.

SUSAN LUCILLE WRIGHT, at trial and in prison. For a

Susan Wright, age 32, is incarcerated at Hobby Prison Facility

at Marlin, Texas. She is currently serving a sentence of 25 years

for the brutal murder of Jeff Wright, aged 34. She must serve

12.5 of those years before becoming eligible for parole.

MURDERESS

2003 - January 13 - Wright, aged 27, lured her husband Jeff Wright

to a romantic evening in their bedroom. She tied him to the bedpost,

stabbed him in the eyeball, in the mouth. in the ear, and knicked his

penis. The Medical Examiner later testified that he had been cut from

head to toe in a total of over 200 times, 46 of which were in his chest,

and the tip of a knife was found buried in his skull.

During the stabbing frenzy, their young son came to the

bedroom door because of the commotion. Susan Wright

returned the child to his room, reassuring him that

everything was fine. After the brief respite, she returned

to the bedroom and began again stabbing Jeff Wright

over and over again.

The ME testified that each of the injuries inflicted would not have by

themselves caused death instantly. Nor was there indication that Jeff

had lost consciousness during the ordeal, thus he would have suffered

a slow, lingering death.

Wright attempted to cover up her bloody deed.

Wright dragged and buried Jeff Wright's body in the backyard in a

hole prepared for a garden fountain. She drove to the store,

purchased bleach and paint, and returned to clean up the room and

paint the walls. Yet there was blood seen by LE through out the

house.

Wright removed a part of the carpeting, the bed frame, and the

mattress and placed them into the back yard. Later she obtained

more potting soil and placed it over the body.

Wright removed the outgoing message with his voice from the

answering machine and proceeded to clean out their joint bank

account.

2003 - January 15 - TWO DAYS AFTER THE MURDER

Wright lied to police. She filed and pressed charges against Jeff

Wright for abuse against herself and their two children. Law

Enforcement at that time had no reason to doubt her claims.

A warrant for arrest was issued however, LE was unable to

ascertain from Wright where Jeff Wright was located or had

gone, where he worked or any other contact information.

She told her family that Jeff had been angry after

he'd beaten her and had taken off and left.

Wright's family found out about their son and brother's

death via news on the internet.

When it was apparent that things weren't going to go quite her way,

Wright confessed to her mother. "It happened in the bedroom

and the kids were in bed." "Mama, it wasn't me. I snapped.

I was up there and I saw somebody do it, but it wasn't me."

FIVE DAYS after the murder.

Wright was promptly bundled off into a mental health facilty and

and attorney engaged.

2003 - January 16 - Jeff Wright was fired from his job when he

hadn't shown up for work for three days straight.

2003 - January 18 - Susan Wright's attorney contacted the DA's

office and provided them with the Wright's address and the fact

that a body could be found and where.

Law Enforcement discovered that the family dog had partially

uncovered Jeff Wright's body.

2003- January 20 - Jeff Wright's employer was informed of

Jeff's death.

Susan Wright's defense was that she had been an abused wife for

years, that she was defending herself and their son from Jeff Wright

who had hit their son and then beat and raped her." Her attorney

claimed that she was "fragile" and "suffering from severe

psychological problems for which she was under psychiatric care."

2003- January 24 - Susan Wright turned herself in and was arrested.

She did not cooperate with LE in the investigation.

2003 - April - Susan Wright pleads Not Guilty. She posted

$30,000 bond and went back to work.

2004 - February - Trial commences. The Prosecution believes

Wright murdered for $200,000 in life insurance. The actual bed

Jeff Wright was killed on was used in a re-enactment.

did not believe her claims, nor the special circumstance of

to take over Susan Wright's appeal.

2008 - October 3 - Susan Wright files motion for a new trial

and sentencing.

Her motion is based on her claims that her previous trial attorneys

were "allegedly deficient by not calling key witnesses during her

murder trial. Wright and her new attorney, Brian Wice, said her

original attorneys "should have called Jeffrey Wright's previous

fiancée, who claimed he also abused her for two years. " Wice also

argued that "a psychologist and a battered woman expert should

have testified for the defense."

Susan Wright's prison penpal profile states that she is

a "single widow."

Wright's use of "single widow" is merely a euphemism,

used in place of "murderess" and is just another lie used

to manipulate.

INFAMOUS MURDERER & PRISON SNITCH - FRED TOKARS

FREDERICK W. TOKARS

Fred Tokars, 54, convicted in April of 1994 for the murder for hire of
Sara Ambrusko Tokars, aged 39.

He was convicted of eight Federal charges: racketeering, conspiracy,
kidnapping, money laundering and using the telephone in commission
of a murder for hire and sentenced to four consecutive life
sentences without possibility of parole.

March 1997 - Subsequently Tokars was convicted in the State of
Georgia's case against him for malice murder and was sentenced
to life in prison.

FIVE life sentences. It's a shame Tokars eventually won't have to
serve every moment of those five life sentences. Instead he'll serve
just his natural life span behind bars.

His former business associate Eddie Lawrence who Tokars contracted
the killing to pled guilty to Federal charges of aiding and abetting the
murder of Sara Tokars, and of counterfeiting; Lawrence pled guilty to
State of Georgia charges of murder. In agreement to testify against
Fred Tokars hsi received twelve and a half years in Federal custody
and be placed in the Federal Witness protection program.

Curtis Rower, the shooter, after a mistrial pled guilty and received a
life without parole sentence.

November 29, 1992, Sara, and her two sons, then Mike, 4 and
Ricky 6, had returned home from a Thanksgiving visit to Florida
with her family. With the children still in the vehicle, Sara went
into the home to find it unlocked and a stranger waiting.

Rower forced her back into the car, kidnapping the three of them.
Sara asked if he was going to kill her. Recognizing that she was
facing death she attempted to save her children and drove off the
road about a half mile from her home. Rower shot Sara in the head
and then fled the vehicle, leaving both boys shaken and spattered
with their mother's blood.

Ricky led his little brother Mike to a nearby home to get help. He
also testified on the stand at the trial of his father. His testimony
transcripts were used in subsequent trials to spare him the trauma
of reliving the event each time he testified.

Frederic Tokars was uncooperative with authorities and bemoaned
not the loss of his wife, or the trauma that his sons had endured, but
the loss of his previous lifestyle as a Judge pro tem, former Assistant
Attorney and lawyer to the unsavory. Tokars had assisted cocaine
dealers in setting up offshore bank accounts to hide funds. Tokars
had also taken out a $1.7 million in insurance on Sara's life, with
himself as sole beneficiary.

When it was clear law enforcement was getting the goods on his
wheelings and dealings among the unsavory underbelly of
society, Tokars tried to commit suicide and failed.

Tokars has previously filed appeals and yet even the Supreme
Court has refused to hear, much less consider his appeal.

Tokars first prison home was the Big A, in Atlanta, Georgia.

During his prison incarceration Fred Tokars has taken on

another role, that of "snitch."

Trust Tokars to figure out how to manipulate the system in order

to better conditions for himself. Authorities maintain that persons

such as Tokars are "cooperating witnesses" while inmates, guards

and others refer to them as "snitches."

Snitches, or informants, will exchange information to authorities

regarding other inmates for better conditions, such as transfer to

a better prison, a chance at reducing or outright eventual freedom

from their sentences, or other benefits including the Federal

Witness Protection Program.

1990's - Fred Tokars is listed as having "offered up his

services" to the authorities.

1998 - Colorado Supermax prison -Fred Tokars informed

authorities that fellow inmate Dustin Honken had confessed to

him that he had committed the murders of 3 adults and 2

children in an unsolved case from 1993 in the state of Iowa.

Honken was already serving 27 years for drug distribution.

Prison Psychiatrist regarding Fred Tokars:

"Regarding his personality structure it seems apparent

that he has been dealt many narcisstic blows. He has a

long history of manipulating and coercing people.

He did not talk of his crimes at all and he does not seem

to have any remorse for his crimes."

January 5, 1999 - Fred Tokars was transferred to the medium

security prison at Oxford, Wisconsin. He met another inmate Robert

Ortloff there. Ortloff is serving a 50 year prison term for attempted

murder in a 1986 Texas mail-bombing of a U.S. Army soldier who

reportedly had romantic designs on a girl Ortloff was dating. Ortloff

objected to that. The soldier survived without serious injury.

May 1999- Fred Tokars talks on the phone and mentions an

upcoming Dateline episode concerning himself. Other inmates

overhear and begin discussing this turn of events.

According to prison documents, Tokars was also ratting..er..

snitching/informing on a Chicago mafia connected inmate,

and keeping notes on him, and that it was "likely the inmate

discovered Tokars' notes." Tokars was removed from general

population for his safety.

Lt. David Shy memo: Tokars was working (snitching) on four

specific cases:

Iowa - Dustin Honken; Arizona - Robert Ortloff;

a case having something to do with the Chicago mobster;

and "a mysterious case involving President Clinton."

1999 May 10 - Tokars is found to have case documents belonging

to at least a dozen other inmates in his cell. Tokars told Lt. Shy

that he wished to "destroy the other inmate's documents that were

potentially damaging to me." Prison records show he was allowed

to do so.

July 1999 - Fred Tokars informs Tempe, Arizona authorities that

Robert Ortloff confessed to him that he had commited the murder

of Kathleen Smith in 1984.

1999 - (summer) Fred Tokars is transferred to a medium security

prison at Sheridan Prison Camp, Sheridan, Oregon.

2003- March- Frederic Tokars was placed in the Federal

Witness Protection Program.

A polygraph examiner from Tempe, Arizona administered a

polygraph to Frederic Tokars. The questions were specifically

designed to see whether the "snitch" was telling the truth.

The results were "inconclusive." Tempe, AZ Detective Tom

Magazzini stated the result was probably due to various

medications Tokar was taking.

2003 - Tempe AZ Prosecutors indict Robert Ortloff based on

"Fred Tokars testimony and "cooperation." Ortloff claimed that

Tokars had copied and stolen many of the documents he (Ortloff)

had prepared pertaining to his (Ortloff's) case, including police

reports. He also claimed that he had wanted outside help, not the

help of disbarred and convicted Tokars.

Tokars claimed Ortloff had given him the 88 pages of notes (which

turned out to be photocopies of notes.) He also claimed that they

were "working on" Ortloff's case. Tokars however, was not, and

did not provide any services to Ortloff.

Tokars first claimed that he "came forward" after he'd heard Ortloff

was talking about him (Tokars) on the prison phone. Then Tokars

claimed Ortloff was part of a plot (with South American drug cartel

members) to break out of prison using a remote controlled helicopter.

Tokars "I don't want to break out of prison. Leave me alone."

Tokars also claimed that he "had not seen "any Tempe, AZ police

reports on Kathleen Smith's murder."

2004 - Fred Tokars testified in the Honken trial which ended in

convictions and the death penalty for Dustin Honken.

Robert Ortloff statement: "I'm going to get convicted by the

orchestrated testimony of two lying psychopaths."

April 2008 -Tokars testifies and Ortloff is convicted.

A JUROR "We didn't believe everything Tokars said. He

really is a creepy-crawler.

Another JUROR "I wanted to take a shower after watching

Tokars for day after day on the stand. But when you think

about it, it isn't all that often, thank God, that you're in the

same room with two psychopaths, one on the stand and the

other sitting with his lawyers at the defense table."

Tokars was returned by Federal marshals to an

unspecified location inside the Federal Penal system,

where he continues to serve his five life sentences.

Fred Tokars on why Ortloff and other inmates are so open with him:

Because "people look at me as being a smart lawyer who

is now in prison for life, who's never ratted on anybody,

who's basically a stand-up guy and is wealthy and smart."

Tokars also claims that in each of the cases he's testified in, the

inmates confronted him about his being a former prosecutor and

judge. They threaten him with spreading the information through-

out the prison inmate population unless he cooperates and helps

them with their legal cases. He begins to work for them, they

confess to him. He claims that each had orginally decided to

strangle their victims with rope but instead bashed them in

the head with a blunt object.

Tokars also claims he's not seeking any special deals or breaks

from the Feds for his testimony.

In each case, his testimony seems almost cookie cutter in its

sameness.

2008 - Fred Tokars is "reported to be in a Florida Prison

Infirmary, bound to a wheelchair and suffering from MS."

However, since Tokars is in the FWP Program, that's not likely to

be confirmed and no current photos can be found on prison locator

sites.

Amanda R. Smith & Casey Anthony have a lot in common

Amanda Reagan Smith & Casey Marie Anthony have a lot in common.

Amanda was 26, and Casey 22, when their children were murdered
during the summer months. Caylee Anthony in June, and Devon Epps
in August, almost a year apart.

Both are behind jail cell bars charged with the murder of their children.

They each have blamed someone who doesn't exist for the death of their
child.

Amanda and Casey each went out partying without much
thought for their children, alive or dead. Or for their grieving
families.

Neither gave a thought about anyone, except themselves.

Thinking only that they wanted a singles party life, they parked
their children on family or friends, and recorded their lives
upon facebook. Yet each was quick to erase entries and remove
photos during the police investigation.

Now they're separated from the rest of the world by iron bars
and will experience this Christmas as just another day in the life
of an inmate while their families gather at home.

Casey Anthony hung out with a set of regular friends who say that
the Casey they knew isn't the one they see in the party photos,
that she had withdrawn from them and "changed." The Casey they
knew loved her daughter and would never have killed her.

Amanda Smith's former friends said the same. The Amanda they
knew, the one studying to be a nurse couldn't, wouldn't have
done such a heinous act.

Yet after young Devon's death she withdrew from them and "changed,"
partying with a newer, younger set of friends who'd never known she
had a son, much less one who had died.

It's true. Neither of them were the people their friends had known. In
fact, they presented whichever "face" or persona they chose to portray
at any given moment to whomever they were with.

Casey Anthony lied and stole. Amanda racked up traffic tickets and then
borrowed her grandparents car and wrecked it.

Behind jail bars they're practicing how to be prison convicts because each
knows the likelihood of a conviction is high.

This year the Epps and Smith families are missing the boisterous Devon
who would have been celebrating his 9th Christmas. Instead they're
experiencing a second Christmas without him.

Little Caylee Anthony would have celebrated her second Christmas, and
the Anthony family, the grandparents who practically raised her are
beginning the first of many Christmas' without her bright smile and
bubbly presence.

Although each has been charged, the investigations are still ongoing.

They are similar in another way, their trials are due to begin next year,
2009, and many of us will be watching.

Today's press conference merely confirmed what many
have already believed. The child's remains found near
the Anthony home were those of little Caylee Anthony.

The bright eyed, smiling toddler who (in videos on
youtube) danced to Barney, swam in the pool with
the help of her grandma, and laughed and giggled
at her grandpa.

Gone.

Nevermore to brighten their lives.

Homicide. Murder. Those are such ugly words to
place in conjunction with anyone's name,
especially that of a child.

Yet those words, instead of sullying and staining
those who are slain, they instead reflect ignominy
upon those who do the killing.

No matter their motives, nor their delight or disdain
in and towards the press and public, the killer's name
is always and forever linked in tandem with murder,
homicide, or manslaughter.

Whether Casey Anthony is convicted or is set free,
in a future trial, her name will forever be stained
with the words neglect, thief and liar. By her own
admission she is at the least guilty of those.

Through evidence and circumstance it may be
proved that she deserves the title of murderer.

While her parents provided for both Casey and
Caylee, Casey rewarded them with her thefts
and her lies.

She toyed with her family's emotions as if it
were her right. She gave them clues that in
retrospect seem cruel, as if she wanted them
to have the horrific experience of finding
their beloved's remains.

At least with the recovery of Caylee's remains
she'll be provided with the dignity of a proper
burial. Perhaps in a place where they can visit
and mourn, instead of a patch of woods, where
she was discarded like unwanted trash.

Casey has stolen more than money from her family.

Casey Anthony has taken a beautiful child's love
from them. She has emeshed them in a tangled web
of self serving lies, and forever, stolen their
peace of mind.

CAYLEE ANTHONY VS CASEY ANTHONY'S DEFENSE

The vultures are gathering. That's right. Experts and high profile
attorneys. The kind that would put a crowd of bargain shoppers
to shame in their rush to jump onto the bandwagon of a case that
will provide them with more publicity.

True, Jose Baez is undermatched for this case, and he needed
someone more experienced as co-counsel and experts.

First there was Dr. Kobilinski. Up until now he's been the best
of a crop of tv forensic celebs. So far he's avoided risking his
reputation by out and out theatrics.

Then along came Henry Lee, the ketchup spitting star of the
bunch. Henry Lee was on tap for the Defense in the Laci
Peterson case, but didn't end up testifying.

Judge Fidler in the Spector trial, part I, ruled that Lee was
responsible for removing potential evidence from a crime
scene. Lee conveniently went on a trip to China to avoid
testifying further in that case, even though he was
expected to.

Now there's Linda Kenny Baden. Remember her? She was
one of Phil Spector's team of attorneys. The only female on
the team, she patted pore little Phil's arm and soothed him
during certain distasteful testimony.

Her husband, reknowned Dr. Michael Baden, forensic
pathologist, made an ass of himself by testifying in the case.
He wasn't alone, Cyril Wecht, and Dr. Spitz did the same.

Spitz exhibited disbelief that anyone should disagree or
disbelieve his expert testimony, whether it was credible
or not.

Added to this mix is Kathy Reichs, well known forensic
pathologist and author. Many respect her and enjoy
her books. I do also.

I'm hoping that Reichs and Kobiliniski don't travel
down the road their elder peers have taken.

Of course, it is to be expected that Reichs will have
the opportunity to put the experience in a book and
they'll both continue to opine on shows that pay them.
So will the others. I have no problem with that.

Sure, I'm being unfair, hardheaded, whatever....towards
Lee and Spitz, but it was abundantly clear that Spitz and
Lee fit their testimony to whomever is paying the fee.

The public expects these experts to be held to a higher
standard. We expect them to be impartial, testifying to
the truth of the matter, not twisting it until the truth
is no longer relevant.

Their testimony should be able to stand on its own,
we shouldn't be expected to believe them simply
because of their fame or notoriety.

Because the defense is packing the bleachers with all
of these big names, the one thing in this case that really
matters, will be shunted to the side, out of the way as
the defense twists and spins the evidence and testimony,
and redirects the blame, all for Casey Anthony. The
defense will do its best to see that Caylee is obscured.

Caylee Anthony, a precious little girl, who sang to her pa-pa,
and smiled big beautiful smiles, her life was worth more
than anything being done to spare Casey Anthony more
time behind bars.

Because after all, this is about Caylee. Caylee's life, and
her death, and who did it and why.

Today a utility worker (some say meter reader) was taking a break
for a whizz and walked into the woods to get some privacy. Little
did he know that this action would lead to a find that could break
a case wide open. The location was 1/4 of a mile from
Casey Anthony's home.... 20 houses away. The area can be
reached through the wooded area that actually extend to the
back of the Anthony home.

The supervisor of the worker was on the news, and he wouldn't
comment on why the worker had gone in the woods because
it is part of the investigation.

Reportedly, finding a plastic bag, the worker picked it up and a skull
fell out. Reporters are stating that a skeleton was found as well. He
immediately found 911.

Holly Bristow from Fox News has a source within the
neighborhood who "knows the worker" and relayed to her that it
was obvious that it was the skull of a girl, and that duct tape was
around the mouth area of the skull."

That's all supposition and rumor at this point.

If true, it's even more horrendous an ending to a child's life than
originally thought.

Sheriff Beary stated that the remains were found approximately
50-60 feet into the woods, well away from the road. But a
blue tent has been set up roughly 4-5 feet away from the road.
The Sheriff has also said that if anyone wants to sneak into the
site area and play games they'll be dealt with. The same goes
for anyone going to the Anthony home and being un-civil.

Neighbors and former friends of Casey Anthony have stated that
this area was the same area where Casey and other kids would
gather to have parties. The area during the summer and fall is
usually swampy with water from knee high to waist high, drying
out only during the winter months.

The area is dense with woods and brush and a dry river bed along
with barbed wire. Texas Equusearch had searched the area but it
was flooded. When they went back to search again, the wooded
area was being developed, had fencing and they were denied
access to search.

Crime scene investigators, the Medical Examiner and FBI are
there and intend to be there for quite some time processing
the scene.

Sheriff's Dept. has secured the Anthony home and it's being
reported that another search warrant will be served once the
Anthonys, Cindy and George return from California on a flight
this afternoon.

Jose Baez was successful in getting the trial date pushed back
from January 5, 2009 to March, with a hearing January 15th,
2009.

The body has been taken from the scene by the Medical Examiner
and FBI and the remains will be sent to Quantico lab in Virginia.
The crime scene van and other investigators remain at the scene.

Reporters and pundits, Experts and analysts are all speculating
and opining. But one thing is clear, if there indeed was duct tape
and a trash bag, it's evidence that can be processed and linked
back to the perpetrator, or at least whomever disposed of the
body. Duct tape is extremely resilient and often retains
fingerprints.

State Attorney is saying that the DP could be placed back into
play depending on evidence. There will be changes if there were
any deals in the case, those deals will be taken off the table.

Fox 35 is reporting that Casey Anthony learned of the situation
and is under psychological observations, since she is exhibiting
signs of anxiety with panic attacks.

UPDATE: Geraldo on Fox says that Jose Baez told him "his client
reacted badly, being extremely upset, sobbing and crying and had
to be sedated.

DIANE DOWNS PAROLE - DENIED

Diane Downs faced the parole board Tuesday, sporting a hairstyle
remniscent of the one she bore at the time of her arrest.

As the parole board members questioned Downs, she tried to give rambling
responses and was at times cut short. Ultimately, the parole board denied
Downs parole, finding that she continues to have, and exhibits, a mental
deficiency condition or disorder which predisposes her to the commision
of any crime and rendering her a danger to the health or safety of others.
The condition that made her dangerous is not in remission and she does
continue to be a danger.

During the hearing Downs spun a (yet another) modified version of the
events that left Cheryl Downs dead and Dan and Christie Hugi near death.

Version I:

A co-worker, Heather Plourd, had told Diane that she was thinking
about buying a horse. Diane had found an ad in the newspaper about
horse rentals that she thought she'd show Heather. She didn't know
Heather's phone no., so she drove out to Heather's home. After
speaking with Heather, Downs decided to drive down Old Mohwak Road
to go sightseeing.

It was after she turned onto Old Mohawk, that she spotted a man
standing in the center of the road, signaling, as if for help.
Downs described the man as "white, late twenties, about 5'9", 150
to 170 lbs, dark hair, a shag-wavy cut and a stubble of a beard."
He wore "a Levi "jacket and an off-colored T-shirt."

She braked and got out of her car. The stranger pulled a pistol
from under his jacket and demanded her car. She refused, and in
retaliation he reached past her, in through the driver's window
and opened fire on her family.

When he then tried to reach for the car keys, she fought back,
outstepping him. But, as she slipped back into her car, he fired
one more time, at her now, striking her arm. Slamming the gas
pedal, her Nissan sped off and away. Her children were hurt, she
could see that, and thought only one thing- to get them to the
hospital as quickly as possible.

Version 2:
In a taped phone conversation with a boyfriend, Downs claimed
it was two men wearing ski masks did the shootings.

Version 3:
In a letter to her Defense Attorney Jim Jagger, the shooter was
a man with whom she had been flirting and smoking marijuana.

Version 4:

She claimed that her boyfriend "Rick" was
actually a drug dealer working with then-Lane County District
Attorney Pat Horton.

Version 5:
Downs wrote: In 1983, I was a letter carrier delivering mail to
the Lane County Courthouse. A man in a suit and tie asked me out.
He said he was FBI and he had credentials, or so I thought. Six
weeks later I received a phone call from someone who claimed to
have photographs of the man "Rick" (the FBI agent I was dating)
was investigating. The caller said if I wanted the photographs,
I had to pick them up right away. I agreed to get the photos for
"Rick." When I arrived at the meeting place, my children were
attack(ed). I struggled with the male shooter and drove my
children to the hospital. Christie and Danny survived.
Cheryl did not.

Version 6 - (A mixture of Version 1 & 5 and a Version 7
added, a conspiracy against her family via her uncle.)

Parole Hearing Version:
It says that you told investigators a stranger flagged
you down, when you got out of the car that person shot
your children. Was that an accurate picture as to what
happened?

That is accurate. He was a stranger and he did flag me down.

In the most recent letters that you've written to us about
what happened you mentioned that this was an appointment,
that someone had called you and asked you to come to this
place...

I received a phone call on the night of May 19. I was
asked to meet somebody at that place, I had not yet
arrived at that place when somebody flagged me down...
and that 's why, for.. until 1993, until I received a
photograph from .... ? I had never been certain that
the person that flagged me down was the person I was
supposed to meet or if it was some kookaloo that
stopped me before I could get to the appointed meeting
place. He said something aboutwanting my car.

I thought he was joking because I had a mindset that I
was there to meet someone to pick up photographs. My
thought at the time is, this isn't the person I was
supposed to meet. He wants my car, I don't have time
to play games,with some kookaloo and so I laughed at
him.

Were you inside or outside the car at that time?

I was outside the car.

So you stopped and got out of the car to talk to this
stranger?

Yes. Yes.

So you laughed at him and then what happened?

He pushed me aside, he got into the car and he started
firing the weapon.

So he didn't want your car he wanted to get in the car...

He apparently did not want my car (chuckles).. I mean..

What was your understanding of why anybody would have done
this?

I had no understanding of why someobody would want to do
this. That's why I have spent, for the past 25 years,
looking for answers as opposed to learning to cut hair
or repair air conditioning units..

And what answers have you found?

(Downs holds up a book and opens the cover that has a
photograph inside.) In here is a picture of my uncle who
was murdered a year before my daughter was murdered. A
year before we wereattacked. My uncle was reporting to
someone in the Foreign Service Department, Far Eastern
Asian Affairs. He was going after counterfeiters and
people smuggling jade and different artifacts in from
Singapore.

The man whe was working with was this man (opens page
with another photo) in the State Department. (Downs
opens another page with a photo.) This man, who is an
Israeli National citizen. This man ...Okay well..
Claims to be my husband...

We need to go back to your situation...

This my situation. This is my uncle...

In your scenario then, this person got into the car and
shot your children? For no reason. Then what happened?

For no reason other than the ultimate was that I ended up
in prison.

So the person's in the car, and you're standing outside...
what are you doing?

I was shocked. I did not see.. . he did not have a gun that
I could see. He asked some utterly ridiculous question um,
wanted my car, I laughed at him. He shot. He got into the
car, shot the weapon. When I turned to see what he was
doing I saw Christie get shot. I was stunned. According to
the Prosecutor's office the shooting took a matter of 3
seconds. He then exited the car and I fought him. I
struggled with him. I was shot in the process. I was
later told by people connected to ....? (Sounded like
Jane Panes) ? that the shooting was an accident.

I was not supposed to be shot, I was supposed to walk away
and it was supposed to appear as if I had become some kind
of a lunatic.

So these people..

I was shot by accident.

So some people did tell you what was supposed to happen,
that you were not supposed to be shot. Why were your
children supposed to be shot?

According to them. it was to shut me up. As far as I'm
concerned if they wanted to shut me up they should have
killed me. I cannot tell you why they say the things they
say. I cannot tell you why somebody wrote a book with all
of these men in 1995, why it was mailed to an inmate in 2000,
and two years later this man was murdered.

Watching Over Me" and according to book sales Web sites, the book,
which Downs referred to by its International Standard Book
Number, is an inspirational book about angels and not

She has resumed her prior married name of Green after divorce.

Debora Green is currently incarcerated Topeka, Kansas, CF-Central

Maximum Security Prison, having been convicted of: Intentional,

Premeditated murder of greater than 1 person; Aggravated Arson;

Substantial Risk of Bodily Harm; Attempted Murder in 1st Degree;
Attempted/Intentional/Premeditated Murder.

Debora Green began her sentence on Jun 06, 1996 after copping an

Alford plea deal for:

Count I, the capital murder of Kelly Fararr, aged 6;

Count II the capital murder of Timothy Farrar, aged 13;

Count III aggravated arson; County IV, the

attempted first degree murder of her then husband,

Cardiologist Dr. Mike Farrar;

Count V, the attempted capital murder Kate Farrar, aged 10.

Green was sentenced to two concurrent 40 year prison terms

without possibility of parole & other concurrent sentences.
In response the prosecution dropped the death penalty.

Parole Eligibility: November 21, 2035

Dr. Debora Green was a former physician, who also had a degree in

chemical engineering. Her propensity for drink outweighed her

desire to continue pursuing her career. A person who was used to

getting her way at anything she desired, Debora didn't react well

when thwarted. When she didn't get her way she was belligerent,

violent and abusive.

Debora once told a nanny "I didn't want kids; I never had. I am

doing it for Mike." The outward appearance of the "perfect family"

was important to her, but the reality was far from it. Debora deliberately

pit her children against her husband and filled their minds with vile

stories about him. When their mother drank, the children were afraid,

of her and of her threats.

Debora was known to have abused Tim, the eldest child, both physically

and mentally while he was alive.

In death, she not only accused him of poisoning his father, but

of setting the fatal fire that killed him and his younger sister Kelly, that

almost killed his sister Kate. The same son, that when surrounded by

flames he asked her for help, for what to do, and she told him to wait

instead of saving himself.

Trusting her, he did.

Green had repeatedly poisoned Mike Farrar, her husband, who

had to undergo multiple heart and brain surgeries, 11 in total, related

to the poisoning damage. She'd gotten the idea for the castor beans

from an Agatha Christie novel. Whether it was for the insurance or

out of revenge, she failed to kill him.

Evidence showed that Green had checked out several books on

intrafamilial homicide, as well as "Necessary Lies," a book with a plot

regarding an intentionally set fire which burned several children to

death.

"After counseling with my attorneys I plead no contest to

all charges. I understand the court will find me guilty of all

counts. I am aware that the State can produce substantial

evidence that I set the fire that caused the death of my

children. My attorneys are ready and able to present

evidence that I was not myself when Tim and Kelly died.

However true that may be, defending myself on these

charges would only compound the suffering of my family

and my daughter, Kate. I love my family very much. I never

meant to harm my children but I accept the fact that I will be

punished harshly. I believe that it is best to end this now so

that we can begin to heal from our horrible loss."

Debora Green did not say she was innocent of the charges and

she did not deny that she had set the fire, nor did she claim

it was an arson fire.

Evidence proferred during the plea proceedings negated her claims

that she did not intend to cause the death of her children. Evidence

related to her actions and demeanor while the fire was burning and

her children missing were part of the evidence proferred.

To wit: She did place ricin, a poison, in the food of Michael Farrar;

Testimony from fire investigators regarding accelerants that pointed

the guilt directly at Debora for deliberately setting the fire while the

children were sleeping.

The Judge in the case ensured that Green fully understood the

proceedings and her plea, and asked if she was taking anything

that would affect her ability to understand the proceedings.

"I am taking prozac, Desyrel, and Klonopin."
Do they affect your ability to understand what is going

on here in court? No sir.

1994 - May 21 - Arson fire at Farrar residence.

1995 - August 7 - receipt from Olathe Earl May Garden Center -

Debora Green purchased castor beans.

Dr. Mike Farrar first becomes ill. As time goes on his condition

worsens.

1995 -September 20 - Debora Green purchase of castor beans

North Kansas City Earl May store. She claimed they were for a

science project for her son. Evidence show no such project existed.

1995 - October - Dr. Mike Fararr moves out of the family residence.

October 24 - Fire at the Farrar residence which Kate Farrar escapes,

Timothy and Kelly and their dog Boomer, do not.

1995 -November -Naval Research Laboratory in Washington,

D.C. determine that ricin is determined to be the cause of Fararr's

illness.

1996 -February 12 - Green submitted to testing and interviews by

psychiatrists and psychologists and did not meet the legal definition

of insanity. She had known the difference between right and wrong

both at the time of the event and in the months after.

1996 - April - Green enters Alford Plea.

1996- July 13 - Green announced her remorse at the loss of her

children and for accepting the plea agreement in a letter.

"I'm sorry my children are dead. I'm sorry I'm here and not

with Kate. But what I'm sorry 'for' (my fault) is that I took a

plea bargain for something I didn't do and didn't fight for my

rights and my innocence through the legal system. I'm sorry I

put my parents through all this - they knew I was making a big

mistake with the plea, but I was so scared I didn't know what

else to do."

1996 - August 27 - In another letter Green blames her attorneys,

saying she had felt "pressured."

"My attorneys were remarkably little help in my decisions.

They seemed to want to avoid a trial but provided little or

no guidance to me. Sean O'Brien, who joined my team of

attorneys relatively late, is a specialist in death penalty

cases. His orientation is simply to avoid the death penalty

at all costs.

"I wasn't in any shape during my stay in the county jail to

make any decisions, I was living in fear, fueled somewhat

by my attorneys' pessimistic attitudes.

I was also confused, which I think was due to the Prozac I

was on since my thinking didn't clear up until I got here

(Topeka Correctional Facility) and got taken off the

Prozac."

1997 - February 5 - In a letter Green is aware she is gambling

with her life since Morrison, the prosecutor stated that if she gets

a new trial, he'll seek the death penalty.

"My honest opinion is that I'm here because the legal

system is largely geared against women right now. If I

had committed a crime, I would own up to it -- I am an

honest person. I did not.

My situation in the county jail -- overmedication, fear,

and isolation -- prompted me to want things to be over

with, and I would have done nearly anything to have

that happen. I didn't receive very good advice.

I allowed myself to be frightened and bullied into pleading

to something I didn't do.

Maybe God wanted me to be here to teach or tell me something.
I cannot believe this is His plan for the rest of my life...."

2000 - October 22- Topeka Correctional Facility - Central R3gis. Use

of Pers. Property. 2 Infractions/Disciplinary reports.

2000 - Green hires Wichita Attorney, Kurt Kerns.

2000 - June 1 - Hearing before District Judge Peter Ruddick. Debora

Green files to rescind her plea agreement. Attorney Kern's game plan is

to show that Green was incompetent at the time of trial to make the

decision to plea due to the combination of medications she was administered

at the time.

The Prosecutor in her case, Morrison, spoke for the State.

Request for a new trial DENIED.

2003 - Feburary 21 - Topeka Correctional Facility - Central Viol.

Statutes (Felony Crime) 1 Infraction/Disciplinary report.

Green was reportedly caught with escape plans in her cell.

2004 - March 22 -Green filed a motion to withdraw her plea as to

all counts except the attempted first-degree murder of Mike Farrar.

Request based on new modern techniques in fire investigation and

manifest injustice.

2004 - August 2 - Supplemental motion filed to set aside her plea,

stating that the factual basis for her plea should be reviewed under a

heightened reliability standard because she had faced the possibility

of the death penalty.

2004 - September 16 - District Court- Green filed a motion for a

certificate of appealability. Green filed to withdraw the no contest

pleas on the grounds that they were based on faulty fire evidence,

and several other grounds.

District court DENIED Green's application for certifcate of appealability.

2004 - October 12 - preliminary evidentiary hearing to discuss discovery;

the district court limited the plea withdrawal proceeding to "evidence that

this could not have been an arson fire."

2005 - January 3 - Second supplemental motion, Green argued that the

court should declare the plea bargain void or permit her to withdraw her

plea because the death penalty had been declared unconstitutional in Kansas.

2005 -January 10 - Hearing. Green argued that the central question

before the court was whether reasonable doubt now infected the factual

basis for her plea. In her view, the defense need not disprove arson, but

need only prove the State could not have proved it beyond a reasonable

doubt.

2007- March 23 - Supreme State Court of Kansas court docket
Green appeals the district court's decision denying her motion to

withdraw her no contest pleas.

Court ruling: Green did not meet her burden to prove the basis

for her plea is so undercut by new evidence that the state could

not have proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt. The District

Judge did not abuse his discretion in so ruling. We conclude that

the district court did not abuse its discretion in denying defendant's

motion to withdraw her plea. Affirmed.

2008- May 15 - Green files petition challenging her convictions and

sentences. District Court denied her arguments for relief.

2008 - June 30 -District Court Petitioner application for certificate of appealability
DENIED.

Now an adult, Kate Farrar cares for both her parents and supports

her mother's efforts to win a new trial or have her sentence overturned.

OJ Simpson - Sentenced

OJ Simpson has been his own worst enemy.

After the verdict years ago in the murder case of Ron Goldman
and Nicole Simpson, OJ should have allowed himself to fade
from public view as much as possible. Instead he was to be
found on the pages of the tabloids and the news media
embroiled in road rage, a domestic dispute with either his
girlfriend or his daughter, or living it up on the golf course.

After walking away from a conviction in the first case, and then
again in the other matters, OJ likely began to believe he was
invincible, that no one would ever convict him, of anything.

He just found out that's not true.

In his speech to the court, OJ appeared contrite, apologetic and teary
eyed. Yet he still tried to minimize his responsibility for events.

A gregarious man who loves holding sway among an audience, being
idolized for his has been sports days, being placed in isolation for his
own protection must be a bitter pill to swallow.

Although he's been sentenced for the crime of robbery and the related
charges, the isolation is a karmic sentence addition that many find quite
fitting.

UPDATE: Dec. 9, 2008 -DIANE DOWNS PAROLE DENIED.

December 9, 2008, Diane Downs' parole hearing will take place
and many people are hoping the Oregon Parole Board
will refuse her parole.

After reading Diane's Applicaton for Parole, her rebuttal to the
psych report, the Dangerous Offender report, and the
Prosecution's Opposition to Parole, it is crystal clear that Diane
Downs has continuously refused any culpability for the crimes
she committed against her children.

Her repeated infractions in prison, consisting of abusive behaviour
towards custodial corrections officers, refusal to follow rules, as
well as her escape, and attempted escapes, all show that Downs
does not accept that she was lawfully convicted, nor that she isn't a
danger to anyone.

Downs, in her application for parole claims that she doesn't do drugs
or hooch. Yet, reflected in the Dangerous Offender report is the fact
that Downs was caught in 1985 of being involved in establishing a
drug ring behind prison bars. "Attempt to commit, possess, or
manufacture the use of dangerous contraband."

The only time Downs mentions Christie, or Dan, is when she wishes
to look good, such as praising the Hugi's for "raising them right."
But in the same breath, she claims Dan Hugi isn't in a wheelchair any
longer, which is incorrect, since Dan was left paralyzed from the waist
down. Christie Hugi was partially paralyzed on one side of her body.
Yet Diane never mentions that fact either. She never mentions concern
over the years about their well being. She never mentions their pain
and suffering, nor the loss of their sister, Cheryl.

In an interview right after the shootings Diane was asked about
her feelings regarding the incident.

Diane stated: "Everybody says you sure were lucky. Well, I
don't feel very lucky. I couldn't tie my damn shoes for
about two months.

It is very painful, it is still painful. I have a steel plate in
my arm, I will for a year and a half. The scar is going to be
there for ever.

I'm going to remember that night for the rest of my life
whether I want to or not. I don't think I was very lucky.

I think my kids were lucky. If I would have been shot the
way they were we all would have died."

In Diane speak, the children are lucky she didn't die otherwise
there would have been no one to slowly drive them to the hospital.

However, her personal feelings were all about her. Her wound. Her
scar. She was feeling sorry for her self. Nothing, not one word about
the children's ordeal in being shot or how close to death Christie came.
Or how horrible it was that they were shot.

Everything is about Diane, who basks in the glow of her notoriety.

Little Cheryl Downs never got to grow up as her siblings did. Her ashes
were scattered across the Arizona soil many years ago. Diane Downs
did that. She killed an innocent child. A child who bore the brunt of her
ill will. Cheryl, who would never again run and play or grow up and be
with her brother and sister.

Dan Hugi used to run and walk on two legs. Since the shooting he's been
confined to a wheelchair, living with multiple problems that his parents
the Hugis, have helped him deal with for most of his life. He's made the
best of life despite his handicaps. Handicaps his mother created. Dan
was a child, another innocent child who also had born her ill will prior
to the shooting.

Christie Hugi was an innocent and normal child but after the shooting
she became partially paralyzed. She too deserved better than being a
verbal or physical punching bag for her mother. Diane Downs did that
to her.

Downs, a mother who is no mother. Instead a monster who likes making
babies, but doesn't like the reality of raising, loving, and caring for them.

Diane Downs deserves to hear at each and every parole hearing, every
two years, for the rest of her life, the word DENIED.

She deserves that, because she did that. She put herself there.

Orenthal "O.J." Simpson & co-defendant Stewart Sentenced

It's the day. OJ Simpson has been sentenced in Nevada.

One of Simpson's attorney's was wordy and went into a spiel about the civil
war, John Adams, then Abraham Lincoln pardoning southern soldiers before
he got to his point, which was "go easy on him."

Galanter spoke of worrying about payback, revenge, or retribution in
sentencing for the California verdict, for the Nicole Simpson and Ron Brown
murders.

He also said that his client's actions were stupid, but stupidity doesn't equal
criminality. He doesn't think the prosecution was out to "get" Simpson in any
way, and that Simpson is remorseful and apologetic.

Both of Simpson's attorney's asked for low sentencing.

The Prosecutor speaks to the court and states that he feels that although
Stewart participated, Stewart is less culpable than Simpson and places the
blame for the events squarely on Simpson.

OJ Simpson is being provided the opportunity to speak.

Simpson speaks with a low, teary voice. "I stand before you sorry, some
what confused. I feel like apologetic to the people of Nevada. I came to
Nevada when younger and I've never gotten into trouble here.

I came here for a wedding, I come here to reclaim property. I was told it
was here. I called my kids, my sisters, the Brown family, I told them I intend
to get some of my property back, property stolen from my home. We've called
the police and asked what to do, but could never find who could solve it.

I knew these guys. It was the first time to catch the guys who did this
redhanded but I had no hatred for Gilbert. Gilbert tried to set me up
before with the tabloids. I've forgiven these guys.

The only person I asked was Mr. Stewart. I needed his car. I asked him
to remove these things.

I didn't yell at anybody. I feel it was my fault, I brought them there. In
no way did I mean to hurt anybody. I talked to the police officers, I
volunteered to come back, show them what was taken. I don't want to
steal anything from anybody. I didn't want anybody else's stuff.

Mrs. Brown gave my daughter my mother's wedding ring. It was stolen.
All these things were gone. I don't want to hurt Bruce or any of these guys.
I've done book reports with their kids. I've sung to their mothers when they
were sick.

I'm sorry. I didn't know I was doing anything illegal. I thought I was
confronting friends. I was getting my property.

The only one I asked to be there was Mr. Stewart. All the rest of them
volunteered. One of them wanted to be a security guy, claims he was the
security guy. It was my fault that they were there. I brought them there.
I didn't mean to hurt anybody or steal from anybody. Thank you."

Simpson had spoken also of speaking to the individuals involved and that
they and he had apologized to each other.

Stewart's attorney thanks the Judge for dropping two counts.

Jones "Stewart is a good man. He was asked to help his friend, he did
assist. I would like to thank the court for dismissing counts 11 and 12."
He speaks of Stewart's health problems and that Stewarts' intention
that day was merely to help his friend. He has no prior convictions
and had minimal participation in the event. No egregious or aggravating
actions could be attributed to Stewart, nor that he had knowledge that
guns were going to be used. There was no bodily harm in the event."

He asked for minimum sentencing. "Stewart is remorseful, repentant
and has begun his way to rehabilitation. This is a good man. On the day
of this incident, Mr. Stewart was taking care of everybody else's business,
for people he didn't know. Taking someone to get a cake, to get a marriage
license, and at the end of the day he ended up in this situation. What he
was trying to do, was be helpful to his friend, as he had been helpful to all
the other people.

Clarence Stewart is the primary support for his family. He is a person who
likes to help people if he can. He asks for mercy. He's not a career criminal.
Not a rapist, not a murderer, merely a person trying to help his friend."

Clarence Stewart spoke. "I would like to apologize to the state of Nevada.
I did not intend to participate in any harm to these gentlemen. I did not
fully understand what was going to happen.

I respect everyone and wish them the best. Many lives have been changed.
My life has certainly be changed. I stand before this court a convicted felon.
I pray this court will sentence me to mercy. Prior to this I have not been
convicted of any crime. I have raised four children." He speaks of his grown
children and their occupations.

"I have tried to instill in them to avoid this kind of lifestyle. I have always
been the main financial provider for the members of my extended family.
As a result of these events I have lost all of my worldy possessions, I was
dismissed, my home is being sold, and possessions being repossessed.

Most of my family members are aged and it's likely I'll never see them
again. I'm 55 and my life has come to an end as a result of the events.
The only way I have been able to survive my incarceration is through
prayer. I ask for mercy, that I do not spend the rest of my life behind
bars."

He spoke of his attorneys, being dedicated men, neglecting their families.
"They have supported me, believed in me." The rest of Clarence Stewart's
statement was missed due to commercial and/or news anchor blather.

News anchors believe that Simpson's speech to the court was nothing more
than what is usual when perps get up in front of a judge after being caught.

JUDGE GLASS:

In the bail hearing I told you, I didn't know if you, Mr. Simpson were
ignorant, arrogant, or both. During the trial I got my answer. It was both."

"At the bail hearing, you believed that you could do what you did in Vegas,
what you couldn't do elsewhere. Get your stuff back. Who's stuff it is, is still
in dispute.

The tapes indicated to me, that you didn't want all of those items to fall
into the hands of the Goldmans. You were heard on the tape making
reference to them as the gold diggers.

That was then. This is now.

You put your group together and went to get your items back. What you
and Mr. Stewart didn't know, was that the planning and the event was
taped. Phone calls were taped. Conversations were taped. Video tape of
you going in and out, and the party afterwards were taped. Everything
in this case was on tape.

It's your own words Mr. Simpson that could be heard throughout those
events that have brought you here, to this seat in my courtroom. We
heard it all. What came out on the tapes said to me, and obviously to the
jury, that the evidence was overwhelming. It was overwhelming. How
often as a judge do I get to sit and hear everything laid out for me to hear.
It's very rare.

The event in the room - I went to that room. It was a little bitty room.

There were a lot of you big guys in that little bitty room. When I heard the
tape, that was not an "oh, just give me my stuff back. I want my stuff."

"Nobody leave the room." That was a very violent attempt."

I don't care what Beardsley or Fromong says now, we heard what occurred.
Guns were brought. At least one gun was drawn. The potential for harm to
occur was tremendous. I don't know how fortunate you consider yourself to
be, but if guns had gone off, workers or tourists walking down the hall could
have been hurt. you can't take back your property by force. You can't do it.
There's no self help. You cannot do it. But you did.

When you take a gun with you, and men with you in a show of force, that's
not just "hey, give me my stuff back. That's something else, and that 's why
we're all here. We can't say "Oops it's okay. No problem. Don't worry, no
harm, no foul."

After the event, the realization hits and there are phone calls made.
"There was no gun. There was no gun." Mr Simpson made those phone
calls. "There was no gun." Why would he make those phone calls except that
he realized that, "Oops, I might be in some trouble."

At the party. At the party, the laughter, the joking. Did you see the look
on his face? Hah Hah Hah. Isn't this funny?"

Judge Glass shakes her head. "You knew what was going on there.
You knew."

"Mr. Stewart you got caught up in something. I don't know how much you
knew but clearly Mr. Simpson knew."

Judge Glass addresses Simpson:
"I see a very different attitude after you've been locked up for 64 days.

I am surprised that I heard from you Mr. Simpson. I had believed that I
wasn't going to hear from you. I was going to be concerned about your lack
of responsibility. It's a fine line. I heard what you say. "I didn't intend to
do something wrong, so there wasn't anything wrong. It was just stupidity."

"It was much more than stupidity."

"It's very rare for someone in a trial to talk about criminal intent. It doesn't
matter. You went to the room. You took guns. Meaning you and the group.
You used force. You took property. Whether it was yours or someobdy elses.
In this state that is robbery with deadly intent. Whether you or someone else
had the gun.

When I spoke to the jury, I told them, if they wanted to punish Mr. Simpson
for what happened previously, they were here for the wrong reason.

I meant that. I'm not here to sentence Simpson for what happened in his life
previously.

In hundreds of trials I've presided over, I have great respect for the criminal
justice system. As a judge who has taken jury verdicts for years. I respect the
verdict of my jurors. I have to respct the jury decision years ago.

There are people who disagree with that verdict. But that doesn't matter to me.

What matters to me, is that the State brought charges. A trial was conducted.
Evidence was heard. Testimony was received. The jury deliberated and they
reached a verdict.

I have to respect that verdict as well.

There's nothing more that's going to happen here, other than a sentence for
you, Mr. Stewart, and for you Mr. Simpson, based on the evidence that
occurred in this case. I'm not here to try and cause any retribution, or
payback for anything else. I want that to be perfectly clear to everyone.

Because if I did, I wouldn't be doing my job as a judge, who presides over a
courtoom, in this jurdisiction.

The problem is, that, I can't ignore the behaviour at the time, was reckless
and disregarded the law. The law was broken. Force was used. A gun was
used, another gun was there. The potentional for harm was great. Property
was stolen.

The jury convicted you, and now I'll sentence you."

Judge Glass went through each count for Mr. Stewart.
All of the counts are concurrent and he received credit for time served,
64 days.

Simpson's attorneys made other motions. Judge Glass "All motions denied."

According to TruTv (Formerly CourtTv) anchors who are also attorneys,
"Stewart was sentenced to 15 years to 27 years. There is a requirement
that he be incarcerated at least 7 1/2 years before he's eligible for parole.

"OJ sentenced to 9 to 33 years in prison, and will have to serve 9 years
before he is eligible for a parole hearing.

That doesn't mean they'll get out, but they will see the parole board at
that point. The pre-sentencing report by the Dept. of parole and probation
recommended an 18 years sentence. Judge Glass handed down a sentence
at the low end of the scale and was much more generous than Simpson might
have expected.

Simpson is 61, and will be pushing 70 when he sees the parole board.

Both Stewart and Simpson are in the Clark County Detention Center, and
within 3 days they will be transferred to High Desert for assessment, for
psychological testing, and then placed.

Greta Van Sustern "Some people think Simpson was set up. But regardless,
if you are set up, and you go through with it, that's your problem."

ANN PRESSLY - VANCE CLAIMS HE DIDN'T DO IT

As Curtis Lavelle Vance was being escorted by police officers
news journalists asked if he had killed Ann Pressly. Vance
shook his head no. He's also told police that he "wasn't
in Little Rock when Pressly was killed."

That's the usual response given by many perps in high profile
cases as the cameras flash and the mikes are extended their
way while they do the perp walk. In a sense, his denial
means nothing. Especially in the face of solid evidence
gathered during the investigation.

Little Rock authorities are positive they've got their culprit
for Ann Pressly's brutal murder and state the DNA match
has been "confirmed with scientific certainty that Vance is
the DNA contributor of the suspect in Ms. Pressly's
murder."

They're also stating they believe robbery was the motive.

Vance is said to have robbed a prior victim and she was left
alive after he'd raped her. However, she stated she hadn't
seen her attacker's face.

Ann may have, and, in fighting against being raped, her actions
in defending herself may have enraged Vance to where he beat
and killed her.

Her parents feel there's more to it than just robbery. Why did
he pick Ann? Was it really a chance encounter and he chose her
as his mark? Has he chosen his robbery victims in such a manner
before? It's known that he hung around neighborhoods and houses
checking them out prior to the burglaries that occured. Had he
been casing Ann's neighborhood? Her house because she was a
single person living alone?

Hopefully he'll either man up and answer those questions or his
girlfriend will. Appears she's under arrest now too, for theft. She's
been charged with pawning stolen goods. Presumably items
stolen by Vance in his burglaries.

That's how Vance came to the notice of authorites in Pressly's case.
Were those 7 items the girlfriend pawned belongings of Ann?
Perhaps we'll find out at trial.

Much speculation has been voiced on the net about the terrible
ordeal that Ann suffered the night she died and now her parents
have confirmed some of the horrific details.

The Cannady's state that Ann was sexually assaulted, her left hand
broken trying to fight off her attacker. "Six weeks ago this morning,
I found my daughter beyond recognition with every bone in
her face broken, her nose broken, her jaw pulverized so badly
that the bone had come out of it. I actually thought that her
throat had possibly been cut. Her entire skull had numerous
fractures from which she suffered a massive stroke."

If Vance truly did commit that horrendous attack on Ann, and is convicted
of the crimes committed upon and against her, he deserves the DP.

Christina Mae "Tina" (Thomas) Watson

On Friday, November 28, 2008, the Townsville Supreme Court has
accepted the indictment against David Gabriel "Gabe" Watson
of Alabama, clearing the way for the extradition process to begin.

David Gabriel "Gabe" Watson has been accused & charged in the
murder of Christina Thomas Watson, he has not yet been
convicted in any court.

Christina Mae "Tina" Thomas made an awful misstep - allowing
David Gabriel "Gabe" Watson into her life.

Christina Thomas had felt "Gabe" Watson was a bit "weird" but when
a relationship ended, Tina was on the rebound and vulnerable. All of
her friends were being married and Tina felt a bit "odd man out"
among them. And Gabe Watson was watching, and waiting.

Over the course of their dating Tina soon found herself in a controlling
and abusive relationship with a man who definitely had a temper.

Tina wasn't sure she wanted to be with Gabe and had a brief, short
lived relationship with someone else. After all, she was single, she
didn't belong to Gabe Watson.

At some point Gabe found out and was furious.

One night Tina and her sister Alanda went together for pizza and Gabe
joined them. Enraged for some reason Gabe sat and glared at Tina the
entire time. He even went so far as to take a slice of pizza and throw
it at Tina.

Although her family and others around her were uneasy about the
abuse, Tina wasn't the type to complain, she would make excuses
for Gabe, to make peace between everyone.

Gabe bought Tina an engagement ring...in November of 2002. But
he didn't present it to her. Instead, he placed the ring into a bag, and
the bag onto the top of the television, warning Tina that she wasn't to
touch it for six months.

April of 2003 Gabe proposed and Tina accepted.

Gabe kept insisting on a diving trip on their honeymoon and although
Tina wasn't enthused about it she arranged for diving lessons.

She was tense, nervous and panicky on the dives, so much so her
instructor asked her if she really wanted to be there. He didn't take
her reply literally, but her words now seem as if they were a fore-
warning of her fate.

"You don't understand. I have to do this. I don't have any choice.
If I don't do this my boyfriend will kill me."

Tina made a dozen dives and passed the course. She was awarded her
beginner's open water diving qualification Although she had panicked
during training dives, the instructor felt she had good self preservation
skills, making immediately and swiftly for the surface as she was taught.

Gabe had lessons with the same instructor. Gabe earned three diving
qualifications- open water, advanced open water and rescue diver. The
rescue instruction included how to rescue a panicked diver, a diver with
no air, one without a regulator and what to do for an unconscious diver.

As part of the Open water certification Gabe had to undergo the portion
of training where the instructor turns off the valve on the scuba tank and
the air becomes cut off. Once the diver indicates a loss of air the air is
turned back on and one is taught what to expect and how to respond to
the situation. Gabe qualified in all areas, an experienced diver.

In the days before her wedding Tina had a problem.

September 26, 2003 Gabe began pushing Tina to change her insurance.

Since her father had been in insurance for over 25 years she sought him
out for his advice. Gabe wanted Tina to increase her life insurance to the
maximum, and designate him as beneficiary.

Tom listened to his daughter's concerns and then advised her to delay,
to wait until they'd returned from Australia before making any changes
to her policy. Tina decided to lie to Gabe and pretend she had made the
changes.

When Gabe pressed Tina, she told him she'd already done what he'd
asked.

October 1, 2003 Tina's dream fairytale wedding was everything she'd
dreamed of. Their families wished them well and they flew off to their
honeymoon in Australia.

Reportedly already a controlling and jealous boyfriend, Gabe's behaviour,
according to witnesses on their honeymoon, took a deadly turn.

Eleven (11) days after they'd said "I do" Tina was dead.

October 23, 2003 Gabe and Tina joined the others at the dive rope after
entering the water on a first dive that day. The dive group was swimming
towards the Yongala shipwreck off the Queensland coast.

Gabe pulled Tina back towards the rope as the other divers made their
descent. He fiddled with his dive computer's battery pack, supposedly
because it was beeping. He made a show of inspecting the battery,
pretending it had been put in incorrectly. If it had been inserted wrong,
it wouldn't have been beeping.

Tina waited patiently until he was finished inserting the battery and when
Gabe was ready, she willingly followed him deeper into the clear blue waters.

* This part is supposition, however it is what Investigators, FBI
and experienced divers believe happened; from witness reports
and from what Gabe Watson has told investigators.

*When they were deeper at a 45 foot depth, Gabe turned to Tina and
encircled her waist with his arms. At first Tina thought he was giving
her a quick hug, but then she couldn't move and suddenly her eyes
grew wide in horror as she realized his intent. Gabe was turning off
her air valve on her scuba tank.It was difficult to breathe. She briefly
tried to struggle but he was holding her so tight she couldn't break
free. She begged him with her eyes to turn it on, to no avail. Her
body began to spasm and gasp. Soon her arms hung limp as she lost
consciousness. His brutal face the last she would see. *

One of the American doctors on board one of the dive boats glanced
down into the ocean below and what he saw made him pay closer
attention. He saw a male diver on top of a female diver who was in
distress. The female diver was on her back facing upwards, her arms
stretched out to the sides.

The other diver's arms were encircling the waist of the female diver,
behind her back. The male diver held her for about 30 seconds in a
bear hug and then turned and began swimming to the surface as the
female diver began sinking 110 feet towards the bottom. There were
no bubble trails coming from the female diver as she sank.

*As soon as he felt sure she was dead or nearly there, Gabe turned the
air back on and then let go of Tina and watched as she sank towards
the bottom like a stone. * He turned and performed a controlled, almost
leisurely swam towards the surface, swimming slower than his bubbles
were rising. It took him two (2) minutes and 30 seconds to surface. A
safe ascent in an emergency for an experienced divers should have
taken him approximately one (1) minute and 18 seconds.

Two of the divers were having fun. One of them struck a pose as the
other took a photograph. Neither realized that this particular photo
would become key evidence in a crime.

Gabe broke through to the surface yelling "Tina's gone down! I need
help! Tina's gone down! She's gone straight to the bottom!"

Then he climbed into the boat. Watson made no attempt to return to
the water to save his bride.

As the diver was taking the photograph the dive leader was nearby and spotted
Tina on the bottom of the seabed. Immediately he swam towards her, scooped
her up and made for the surface, ignoring the risk of the bends to himself. It
took him a minute and a half to reach the surface, traveling twice the distance
Gabe Watson had. Tina's regulator was in her mouth, working properly, but
there was no air in her buoyancy control device.

Gabe was telling fellow divers that Tina had panicked because of an equipment
malfunction and knocked off his face mask and regulator. He'd had to let go
of Tina while he fixed his equipment, and by then the swift current had carried
Tina away. Tina had sunk to the bottom with her arms stretched out towards
him as if begging him to save her. He'd tried to swim after her but couldn't
catch up so he'd made the decision to abandon her and get help on the
surface. He swore he'd never swam so fast in his life and had risked the bends.
His rapid descent alarm on his hadn't triggered, showing his statement to be
a lie.

The dive leader surfaced with Tina in his arms and she was quickly brought
aboard a neighboring boat where the doctors worked feverishly for 30
minutes trying to revive her.

Gabe made no attempt to join them. He sat unconcerned as others
tried to save Tina's life.

As he told his version of the story to other divers they looked askance at
him. One told him "Gabe, that didn't happen. You better come up
with something else. Cause that story didn't happen." When
Watson claimed that Tina was too heavy for him to life, another retorted
"That's bullshit because underwater if your feet are not braced
on the bottom, there's no sensation of weight."

The dive trip was cut short because of the tragedy. As the group made their
way back to shore several of the divers exchanged their concerns to each
other. Several of them later contacted Tina's father and expressed their
concerns to him.

Tina's body was brought to the Townsville morgue for an autopsy.

The senior operations manager kept Gabe Watson company that night
and later testified that Watson's demeanor was "calm and not over
emotional" but he had said that he "felt guilty about his wife's death."

It was twelve (12) hours before Gabe bothered to telephone Tom Thomas
to inform the family that Tina had died. He also described it as an
accidental death. Although bereaved, the Thomas family accepted his
explanation.

Two days later Gabe Watson was allowed into the morgue to see Tina,
presumably to say his goodbyes. A police officer was stationed out of
sight, but within hearing and he heard Gabe say in a cold voice "I'm so
sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I shouldn't have kept taking
you down. I'm sorry, I couldn't stop.''

In subsequent interviews with police detectives Gabe Watson gave conflicting
versions of his story. Sixteen (16) of them in fact.

Gabe argued that there had to have been faulty equipment involved when the
Australian medical examiner stated that he couldn't, and wouldn't rule Tina's
death as an accidental one.

Tina's family was devasted to hear from fellow divers that Watson could be
responsible for Tina's death, that it was in their opinion, not anything near
accidental.

Tina was brought home to Alabama and although Gabe buried her in a plot
surrounded by empty plots saved for her family's eventual resting places, he
refused to allow them any say in the funeral services. He also refused to allow
them any personal mementos, nothing belonging to Tina. Gabe also set
restrictions upon them before allowing them to attend the funeral of their
beloved daughter. They were "not to say or do anything against him."

Just after Tina's funeral, Gabe showed his friends a video with him saying
to Tina "Smile at the camera, in case you get eaten by a shark or
something." Then he joked "for an extra $10 Tina could have had
a million dollar life insurance policy."

Gabe Watson lost no time in filing for his wife's insurance. He also filed suit
against Old Republic Insurance and Travelex for hundreds of thousands of
dollars claiming punitive damages for the mental anguish he'd suffered for
the loss of his wife. Police informed the companies that Gabe Watson was
suspected of causing Christina Watson's death.

Gabe learned that Tina had left her father as beneficiary on her life insurance
policy. He wouldn't get a penny.

At Christmas the "grieving widower" sent a card to one of Tina's close friends.
The card had a photo of their wedding on the front and inside it said "Who's
that sexy guy standing next to Tina? Oh yeah, that's me!"
accompanied by a smiley face.

Over the next year, as Tina's family placed flowers with cards or mementos of
their own on Tina's grave site their offerings were mysteriously disappearing.
Perplexed and upset they turned to a local police detective.

A decision was made to set up surveillance and Gabe Watson was
caught on film (click to view) kneeling at the grave, reading the card, going
to his vehicle and returning with large bolt cutters. After removing the flower
arrangements he threw them into the street and left in his vehicle.

March 2005 - Since he couldn't get the travel insurance company to pay out,
Watson decided to file suit to recoup the cost of the diving trip, despite sound
legal advice not to pursue this route.

October 7, 2005 - Out of spite Watson had Tina's body exhumed and her casket
moved to the other side of the cemetery into a single grave site where there were
no empty plots surrounding it. The Australian police were concerned that nothing
should be contaminated and so American police were present at the exhumation
and reburial.

April, 2008 - FBI & Queensland detectives seized Watson's computer, documents
and other material as evidence.

June 2008 - Over five years have passed and finally the investigation was completed.
An inquest was held by the Townsville, Australia Coroner. Gabe Watson testified
via video link. Testimony included Watson "stared into her eyes as he held her in
a bear hug before letting her slip away and that "Tina knew she was in danger -
the look on her face was awful." A re-enactment in court as well as a video
of the re-enactment underwater by divers were also presented.

After extensive testimony the Coroner rendered a verdict. Enough evidence
exists that shows Gabe Watson is possibly responsible for the diving
death of Christina Watson and should face trial. Extradition would be pursued
so that Watson would face trial in Australian court. A warrant was issued for
his arrest.

Coroner's Inquest

August 15, 2008 - Gabe Watson re-married. His new bride is Kim Lewis who
is said to bear a striking resemblance to Christina.

CURTIS VANCE LINKED TO PREVIOUS CRIME

April of 2008 in Marianna, Arkansas a woman alone,
secure in her home, woke up from her slumber, and
decided to shower. That's when her nightmare
began.

Her assailant raped her at gunpoint and then
demanded money. The woman, a teacher,
only had $3.00 in the house. The perp took
the money and then took off. The woman
was unable to see her attacker's face
throughout her ordeal.

Marianna Police had been seeking the perp
in the unsolved crime and were seeking to
match the DNA evidence from the crime.
This week there was finally a match - Curtis
Lavelle Vance.

Vance spoke to Little Rock Police down at the
Marianna Police Dept. and while there
investigators asked him for a DNA sample,
which he gave.

That was on Tuesday. By Wed. they had
a match and were looking for him to arrest
Vance. That's when the news conference came
into play and tips poured in.

Fox News reported that a "source" told them
that a "lot of semen" and blood, possibly Vance's,
was found at Ann Pressly's home as well as
footprints and fingerprints. The "source" also
said that Ann had desperately fought for her life.

Vane is now on the hook for rape and residential
burglary for the Marianna assault and capital
murder (& possibly other charges) for the
brutal slaying of Anne Pressly.

Police are now investigating to see whether he
was involved in other crimes.

They believe he's the perp who was hanging
around people's homes and yards and
neighborhoods and then committing burglaries.

CURTIS VANCE BEING ARRAIGNED

Police in the investigation of Anne Pressly's death are
saying that they don't feel Curtis Vance was stalking
Anne prior to the attack, nor did she know her attacker.
Rather that Vance saw her as a random opportunity and
acted. He has given a DNA sample and it is a match for
that found at the crime scene.

Fox news reported that Anne Pressly may have
bitten her attacker and that's where the DNA may have
come from.

At Vance's arraignment today he was sent back to jail with
no bond and another hearing will be set soon.

As to motive -he's described as "not being forthcoming
with information." Unless Vance provides answers,
that may never be known.

It's reported that Vance has no records of prior violent
behaviour and only had traffic violations which resulted
in his license being suspended.

Sheanika Cooper's mother, Valerie Cooper spoke to the
media saying "He has a real nice personality. He didn't
give me no kind of hint or nothing. It shocked me and
he wouldn't do that. It's a tough pill to swallow. I don't
want to believe he did something like that. It's a sad day,
it's so sad."

He didn't seem like he would do nothing like that because
he's so quiet and sweet to his kids. He loved my daughter
Sheanika."

Guy Cannady, Anne's father stated "It's very difficult to
look at the picture, just knowing what Anne went through,
that that was the last guy that Anne saw in her life. This
does not take the pain away. It's tough to see the face of
the man that is capable of a heinous and violent criminal
act."

"What I would say to him in private isn't appropriate for
television."

POLICE NAME CURTIS LAVELLE VANCE AS ANN PRESSLY'S KILLER

UPDATE: VANCE ARRESTED
It has been announced that Curtis Vance is in custody.
Vance "offered no resistance when he was taken into
custody at a house in Little Rock 90 minutes after
the Little Rock Police Dept. held a press conference
stating that a warrant for his arrest had been
obtained." He was arrested between 11 p.m. and 11:30
p.m. by police acting on a tip that led them to 24th
Street and Cross St., the vehicle was found a few blocks
away on 24th St and Pulaski St.

Although police had remained tight lipped
throughout the investigation, tonight their spokesman released
the name of Ann Pressly's suspected killer.

One Curtis Lavell Vance, aged 28, of Marianna, Arkansas has
been charged with capitol murder and police are seeking his
whereabouts.

Physical description: Vance is 6 foot tall and weighing about
240 pounds.

Vance is reported as driving a black 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora with
Sheanika Cooper, aged 25, and three small children accompanying
him. The vehicles has 22-inch rims and paper temporary tags.

Vance is likely considered armed and dangerous, as he has in his
possession a 9mm High Point pistol and extra ammunition.

With the knowledge that he's being sought and has been charged
with capital murder it's likely that Vance will be resistant to being
captured.

Kudos to the police for cracking this case. Hopefully LE will capture
and bring to justice this perp.

Reality check for Cindy Anthony

Cindy Anthony is facing a reality no parent wishes to
contemplate - that their child could be, and likely is,
a killer.

I have sympathy for both George and Cindy Anthony
for the loss of Caylee, and for being placed into
the position they are in because of Casey's actions.

But George, as is shown by the FBI tapes released,
is well aware of the reality that his precious grand-
daughter is gone and that his daughter has done
something despicable, unthinkable.

Yet to save his marriage, (and perhaps the mental
well being of his wife) he goes along with the charade
being put forth by Cindy that the combined team of law
enforcement and FBI investigators are incorrect,
the science flawed, and she knows beyond a shadow
of a doubt that she's right about everything.
Regardless of what his reasoning is, he should step
up to the plate and stop the charade.

It's past time Cindy Anthony faces up to reality. Each
time she claims a child could be, or is, Caylee in photos
taken at malls or elsewhere, she's subjecting that child
and their family to her false version of reality. She's
putting those parents under the onus of having to prove
that their child is their child, exposing that child to
unwarranted public scrutiny.

She's no different than her daughter Casey Anthony
in her claims that a Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez was
the one who took her child. In doing that Casey
subjected a very real person to the scorn, disgust and
even hatred of total strangers.

Cindy is doing the same to those unsuspecting families
who become caught up in the madness that has been
surrounding, and indeed is at the heart of this case.

A madness that is not mental illness, nor insanity,
but stems from a core of self centeredness.

INFAMOUS MURDERS - LIYSA NORTHON

LIYSA DeWITT (MORAN, EHLEN, KING, MATTSON) NORTHON:

LIYSA NORTHON, age 46, is currently incarcerated at the

Coffee Creek Correctional Facility at Wilsonville, Oregon for

the drugging & shooting murder of her husband Christopher

James "Chris" Northon. She was sentenced to 12 1/2 years

and will serve a minimum of 10 years and will be credited

for about 9 months already served.

Parole Eligibility date: 2011

1996 - March - Chris Northon, airline pilot, married Liysa King,

a writer and artist. The last two years of the marriage Liysa began

telling anyone who would listen that she was the victim of verbal

and physical spousal abuse, that her husband drank and smoked

pot constantly, becoming violent. That he had threatened to kill

her if she left and took their young son. Northon had made

reports of domestic abuse with police but no charges were ever

filed against Chris Northon.

2000 -October 9 - Liysa Northon left her 8 year old son at a

friend's home in Washington state and with their 3 year old son

accompanied Chris Northon on a camping trip to a remote

campground. (While reportedly deathly afraid of him)

Chris Northon was later found to have large levels of sedative in

his body as well as a gun shot to the head. His body is stripped of

clothing and located in a sleeping bag which covers his face.

After the shooting Northon drove herself and her son 4 hours

across state lines to the friend's home in Washington where she

telephones Oregon police to tip them off to find Chris' body. Liysa

informed the authorities that her husband had become

drunk & violent and threatened their young son and

tried to drown her. Liysa told police "I blindly fired a

shot at Chris to scare him."

The Police investigation disputed Northon's claims and she was

charged with murder.

In a twist of irony, the same correctional facility for women that

Northon is incarcerated in had its ground-breaking ceremony in

April of 2000.

2001 -July - Liysa Northon at first pled Not Guilty at trial but

when her computer and emails were brought into evidence she

pled an Alford Plea. Northon, age 39, was duly convicted to

first degree manslaughter and 12 1/2 years and transported to

prison.

2002 -December - PLEA FOR CLEMENCY - Northon filed

a plea for clemency claiming that she was a battered wife; that

she was coerced into the guilty plea; and that Chris Northon had

repeatedly threatened to kill her if she left with their son.

(Northon also claims on her blogsite that her attorney of record

"misappropriated $30,000 & did not hire experts & filed a false

affidavit with the court to discredit her & cover his own actions.)

The Governor declined to grant her plea for pardon.

After her arrest both of the two boys, one from a previous marriage,

and Chris Northon's son, have been cared for by a former husband,

Donald King, who lives in Hawaii.

In prison Northon is employed as a recreation clerk, has worked on

children's stories and taught yoga and nutrional education to fellow

inmates.

2003 - September - WRONGFUL DEATH -The estate of Chris

Northon sues Liysa Northon for $7.5 million. $5 million for the economic

loss suffered by theestate; $1 million in economic damages specifically for

loss of Chris Northon's services; $1.5 million in noneconomic was claimed

for the disability, pain and suffering Chris suffered between the period

between the time he was injured and when he died, and for the loss to

his beneficiaries of his society and companionship. This is being filed on

behalf of the beneficiary of the estate, Chris' son Dane. Attorney Gary R.

Johnson stated "We are trying to preclude her from ever being

able to benefit from Chris Northon' s death.

2004 - February -LAWSUIT AGAINST AUTHOR ANNE RULE

Liysa Northon filed a complaint in Multnomah County Circuit Court,

Oregon. Northon claims Author Ann Rule's book "Heart Full of Lies"

damaged her reputation because she has always claimed "that she

was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of Chris Northon

and that she acted to protect herself and her children.

"The suit also names the prosecutor Daniel Ousley, claiming Ousley

falsely told Rule "there was no evidence Chris Northon used drugs

or was abusive to his wife."

The suit was dismissed.

2004 - February 27 - Northon appealed the dismissal & Rule's

attorneys moved for attorney's fees.

Liysa Northon has also sued: the Northons and her former

brother-in-law, as well as the State of Oregon.

The Oregon legislature passed into law a "Liysa Northon bill"

that forbids convicted killers not only from benefiting financially

from their victims' estates, but from the descendants of victims,

a law designed to protect Chris Northon's son Bjorn when he

comes into the large estate from Chris Northon when he is in his

mid-teens.

2008 - A blog maintained on Liysa Northon's behalf, which

contains her writings and opinions & where she continues to

rail against Ann Rule, and presents her claims. The very same

claims she's presented in court and lost.

In prison and on the blog Northon continues to profess her

claims of having shot Chris Northon out of innocence and fears

stemming from her years of abuse. Prosecutor Ousley has stated

that no evidence of Chris Northon using drugs or abusing Liysa

Northon has ever existed.

It's quite possible Northon could be turned down on her parole

application and would have to serve the remainder of her sentence,

because she continues to profess that she was a battered victim and

refuses to accept full culpability for the crime.

The Oregon Parole Board rarely grants such parole requests.

TABITHA BUCK:

Tabitha Buck age 34, is currently incarcerated at SCI Muncy in
Pennsylvania. She is serving a life sentence without the
possibility of parole for the murder of 16 year old Laurie Show.
She was convicted of one count of second degree criminal homicide
and criminal conspiracy. Buck was aged 17.

Although Tabitha Buck had claimed she was initially under the
impression that she was accompanying her friend Lisa Michelle
Lambert to "cut Laurie Show's hair, the fact remains that the so
called "prank" they had planned to commit was assault and part
of the continued harassment Lambert had been conducting
against the younger girl, and in which she was a willing participant.

In later depositions Buck later admits she was aware of Lambert's
hate for Laurie Show and Lambert's statements to "kill her."

Buck was instrumental in preventing Laurie Show from escaping
the brutal assault and did nothing to prevent Laurie Show's murder
and indeed participated in it by holding the girl down.

Lisa Michelle Lambert over the years filed continous legal motions
amid claims that Tabitha Buck and Lawrence Yunkin were the
true perpetrators and the planners of the murder, seeking to
minimize her own culpability.

1996 - Lambert's lawyer contacted Buck through mail suggesting
she testify for Lambert and throw Lawrence Yunkin under the bus
as the real killer of Laurie Show.

Tabitha Buck responded by informing the attorney that she would
not testify to, nor fabricate any lies to corroborate Lambert's false
stories.

1997 - Tabitha Buck acknowledged her own culpability and
testified through deposition and later as witness to a Federal Court
regarding Lambert's actions, Yunkin's, and her own.

Lambert was claiming that she had been wrongfully imprisoned
because she is innocent of the murder. The court recognized that
Buck had accepted her part in the murder and found Buck's
testimony truthful, and Lambert's not. Lambert's motion was
denied.

Buck continues to serve her life sentence and though in Pennsylvania
where life means life, she is hopeful that lifers will one day be allowed
parole.

INFAMOUS MURDERS - LAWRENCE YUNKIN

LAWRENCE STEWART "BUTCH" YUNKIN:

Lawrence Yunkin, age 36, was formerly incarcerated at the State
Correctional Institution, at Dallas, Pennsylvania. He was serving a
10 to 20 years sentence for driving his then pregnant girlfriend, Lisa
Michelle Lambert, and her friend Tabitha Buck, to the home of 16
year old Laurie Show on December 20, 1991, and driving them away
after the murder of Laurie Show. Yunkin was also charged with
hindering apprehension and helping to dispose of evidence.

Initially Yunkin had received a one year sentence under a plea bargain.
He committed perjury and the plea was withdrawn. He received the
10-20 year sentence.

1992 -October 2 - Yunkin pled no contest to third degree murder and
testified against Lisa Michelle Lambert and Tabitha Buck. Both of whom
were convicted of murder. Lambert of first degree murder, and Buck of
second degree murder. Both are serving life in prison without possibility
of parole.

2001 - Yunkin applied for parole. Denied.

2002- Yunkin applied for parole. Denied.

2003 - August- Yunkin applied for parole. Granted.

2004 - January - Yunkin, aged 32, was released to a half-way house,
York Community Corrections Center in York, PA. and then RELEASED
ON PAROLE.

Yunkin served 12 years of his sentence. He must report to a parole officer
under state supervision until Dec. 21, 2011 - the expiration of his maximum
20 year sentence. If the conditions of his parole are violated he will be sent
back to prison to serve the remainder of the 20 year sentence.

Yunkin reportedly was a model prisoner who participated in the
vocational and rehabilitation programs while imprisoned.

CONDITIONS FOR PAROLE:
He must report to his area state parole office within 24 hours of
his release from the community corrections center.

Active participation in the community correction center's program
and adherence to all of its rules.

Outpatient drug and alcohol treatment and mandatory drug and
alcohol testing.

No consumption of alcohol under any condition.

He also cannot patronize an establishment where alcohol is served
or sold.

No contact with Lambert, Buck or their families.

A payment plan for restitution owed Laurie Show's family.
(John Show informed officials he does not want any
restitution from Yunkin and opposed parole. "Yunkin was the
instigator and the one who started the whole thing. I still feel
he should do more time.'')

Placement on curfew for a minimum of 90 days after completing
the community corrections program and any time when he is
unemployed.

No operation of a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license,
proof of insurance, proper registration and the permission of his
parole agent.

Yunkin's family moved away from Lancaster County, PA and Yunkin
was to live with them after release from the halfway house while he
searches for employment.

Lawrence Yunkin's daughter by Lisa Michelle Lambert was being
raised in Maryland by Lambert's parents who relocated there after
the trial. Yunkin has stated that although he would like to see his
daughter, he has no intention of trying to obtain custody of the girl
or disrupt her life. At the time of his release she was 11 years old.

She is now 16, the same age Laurie Show was when Yunkin
drove Lambert and Buck to Laurie Show's home to murder her.

INFAMOUS MURDERERS - ANTI-FREEZE POISONING - LYNN TURNER

UPDATE: August 30, 2010 - Lynn Turner commits suicide
in prison cell.

"Blood tests indicate convicted murderer Lynn Turner
killed herself with an overdose of blood pressure medication.
Turner may have hoarded the prescribed medication. She had
to know what she was doing. If there's anybody out there that
would have known how to kill or poison a person, it would be
Lynn Turner."

Dr, Kris Sperry (State's Chief Medical Examiner)
"Turner died from an overdose of the blood pressure medication
propanolol which she was prescribed. Toxicology studies revealed
that Ms. Turner had a lethal levelof this drug in her blood indicating
that she had ingested an amount well above the prescribed dose.
Her death would have been much quicker and less painful (than
that of the men she poisoned with ethylene glycol). She took more
than twice the lethal dose. The death is being classified as a suicide."

Lynn Turner is incarcerated at the Metro State Women's Prison
at Atlanta, Georgia and serving two consecutive life without parole
prison terms for the anti-freeze poisoning of Glenn Turner and

Lynn Turner's lawyer have petitioned the Georgia Supreme Court
in an attempt to overturn her conviction. Atlanta attorney Don

"should not have alllowed it because the reasons stated for doing so
did not establish a logical connection between the two murders."

The trial court should not have allowed friends of Glenn Turner to
testify about statements he made before he died, including warnings
that if anything ever happened to him, they should investigate his wife."

Dr. Henry Lee on board for Casey Anthony

What? Is he going to spew ketchup into the sunfire?

Make inappropriate flat jokes while he's testifying?

Dr. Henry Lee used to have my, and others, respect
until we saw him testify in several cases in the past
two years.

Most recently was the Lana Clarkson case where Lee
testified for Phil Specter at his first trial.

Judge Fidler ruled that Dr. Henry Lee "either hid
or accidentally destroyed key evidence in that murder
trial.

His flippant testimony in that case and the instance
of spewing ketchup on the witness stand in another
case really struck a lot of views wrong. He was
supposed to testify but conveniently indisposed
overseas all of a sudden and didn't return to the stand.

It's a shame when someone who provides "expert"
testimony begins to have a swelled head and ego
and tailors their testimony to whoever is paying them
instead of the truth.

On Nancy Grace, guest forensic pathologis Kobi
told NG and the audience that the smell came from
a once living life form - not pepperoni pizza.

Personally, Kobi has more credibility than Lee at this
point and with Lee, I'm waiting to see what new stunt
he pulls.

Caylee Anthony - Casey Anthony - The Saga Continues

While good hearted people struggle to keep Caylee Anthony the
focus of the case and are actively searching for her, Casey
Anthony and her lawyers are intent on keeping the spotlight on
(sarcasm here!) poor victimized Casey.

Casey's accusation against "a" Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez
heaped ridicule, scorn and distrust upon a woman of that
name who was questioned by police, destroying her
reputation. Zenaida F. Gonzalez's attorney feels she has a
viable case and advised filing suit against Casey Anthony
and she did so.

So now Casey Anthony has countersued, claiming Zenaida
Gonzalez's suit has been filed basically to harass and other-
wise embarass Casey Anthony. Oh, and to cash in on the
notoriety of the case. Anthony is suing Gonzalez for "more
than" $15,000 in damages.

As if Casey Anthony could be embarassed!

Casey Anthony wasn't embarassed when:

She was photographed peeing in a parking lot while drunk;
She was passed out in a car from too much drink;
She was plopped on the floor in front of a toilet gracing the
porcelain bowl.

She became the recipient of scorn and disgust by those
those around the nation, much less the world who are
following the story and worried about Caylee Anthony.

When she lied to police officers;
When she waited 31 days to "not" report her
child missing;

When she stole from her family, her friends and acquaintances
or when she lied to them.

She wasn't apologetic or embarassed when she lied to Jesse
Grund and his family falsely claiming he was the father of
her child Caylee;

When she spouts the ever changing story of who the father is,
or where his family is located;

When she spews various versions of what happened to Caylee
or where she is.

(Sarcasm) Yeah, good luck with that lawsuit Casey.

I'm cheering for the Gonzalez side.
